Kings’ School Al Barsha is celebrating another exceptional year group of students who received their A Level and BTEC results today.
One third of all entries at the KHDA Outstanding rated school were awarded the top A* or A grade and students are now preparing for the next steps of their academic careers at some of the best universities in the UK, USA, Canada, Europe and the UAE.
Maryam Al Qassim, who achieved one A* and three A grades and is now preparing to study Architecture at University College London, said: “These past two years have helped me grow both personally and academically. After many weekends, early mornings, and late evenings, I’ve learned that every dream is within your grasp as long as you’re willing to work for it. Kings’ has been a tremendous support, and I owe a massive thank you to all of my teachers who have consistently believed in me even when I didn’t believe in myself.”
Haya Obeidat has attained A*s in History, Politics and Sociology. She comments: “The feeling of relief I experienced this morning was truly stronger than the feeling of relief I felt after sitting my last exam in June. I am beyond grateful for my support system at school and at home. I really would not have got here without my teachers.”
Commenting on the results, Paul Taylor, Secondary Headteacher, Kings’ School Al Barsha, said:
“This cohort of students worked incredibly hard throughout their courses and fully deserves these excellent results. They have embraced the academic challenges of Sixth Form study while making the most of the wider opportunities available to them at Kings’ School Al Barsha. Our students have been expertly guided by a superb set of teachers who will be just as proud as I am of these achievements. The study skills and careers guidance that our students receive throughout their time with us is first class.”
Director of Education for the Kings’ group, Bede Higgins, commented: “We are all incredibly proud of the results achieved by our Kings’ School Al Barsha students which reflect their dedication and commitment to learning. We wish them every success as they progress their studies at their chosen university or as they pursue exciting career opportunities.”
