SAP Release Engineer

Job Summary

The SAP Release Specialist is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing IT service releases into production, with a particular focus on SAP environments. This role ensures seamless integration of software and infrastructure changes, working across agile and traditional teams to maintain release quality and compliance.

Job Description

• Own the end-to-end release process across SAP and non-SAP platforms
• Define and execute release plans, including rollback and contingency steps
• Ensure release packages are tested, verified, and production-ready
• Automate release and rollback workflows to reduce manual effort and risk
• Maintain accurate release records in the CMDB and ensure audit readiness
• Monitor release progress and proactively manage risks and issues
• Lead post-release reviews and embed lessons learned into future cycles

The Successful Applicant

• Minimum 7+ years of IT experience, including SAP release and deployment management.
• Strong understanding of ITIL processes and IT service management.
• Experience with automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible, Octopus Deploy).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Preferred certifications: ITIL Foundation, CSM, RTE, PMP or equivalent.
