Job Description

  • Maintain complete and accurate books of accounts for several group entities while adhering to relevant accounting standards.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
  • Manage day-to-day accounting functions including payables, receivables, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
  • Lead coordination of annual external audits with audit firms in both the UAE and Singapore.
  • Oversee compliance with VAT, tax submissions, and statutory reporting across all relevant jurisdictions.
  • Support senior management by producing financial analysis, budgeting input, and cash flow forecasting.
  • Act as the main point of contact for banks, regulatory bodies, and free zone authorities.
  • Review and strengthen internal controls, ensuring effective accounting systems and processes are operating across all entities.
  • Monitor intercompany transactions and ensure timely reconciliations.
  • Assist with any ad‑hoc financial projects required by leadership.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, with a strong preference for candidates holding ACCA, CPA, CA, or equivalent certifications.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a relevant accounting role, ideally within sectors such as shipping, oil trading, or international corporate structures.
  • Practical understanding of ADGM and Singapore ACRA regulatory requirements is considered an advantage.
  • Strong command of IFRS and familiarity with UAE VAT compliance.
  • Prior experience managing or assisting with annual financial audits.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or comparable systems.
  • Strong analytical skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple legal entities simultaneously.
  • Regional experience within the Middle East would be essential
  • Candidates must be based in the UAE
