Job Summary

We are in search of a dynamic Sales Manager, responsible for developing and fostering business for the hotel through proactive and reactive sales efforts, in addition to maintaining existing business, finding new business and saturating existing accounts and/or segments. The ideal candidate will have a keen ability to provide the highest level of guest satisfaction to external clients and internal partners with the goal of garnering both repeat and referral business.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Provide the highest levels of customer service to internal partners and external clients at all times.
  • Respond in a quick, timely, and professional manner to all internal partners and external customers and deliver clear and concise communiqué that is representative of Concord Hospitality via all avenues of communication.
  • Demonstrate excellent time management, self-motivation and proactive planning, and endeavor to be organizationally savvy with a keen focus on detail.
  • Satisfactorily maintain existing assigned accounts/segments and work diligently to develop new business for hotels.
  • Effectively and efficiently monitor and manage all aspects of the pre-event, event, and post-event details: Track, details, and communicate the particulars of each assigned account, group or event.
  • Work with internal and external partners to accurately forecast group rooms and F & B revenues, as well as understand the conditions and strategies that will maximize released space and rooms and impact hotel revenues.
  • Consistently attain sales activity goals and individual revenue goals including — but not limited to — proactive and reactive calls, tours and appointments required for this position, as outlined by Concord, your RVPSM, and your Area Director of Sales & Marketing.
  • Learn and use digital sales systems and conceptual sales processes (i.e., Delphi, CI/TY, PMS, sales call process, etc.) and understand the hotel’s sales strategies (i.e., Marketing Plan, rates, budgeted goals, etc.). Implement these tools and resources in order to accomplish individual and team goals and efficiently complete job duties.
  • Participate in industry and networking events to promote the hotel as required.
  • Ability to travel to related industry events, conduct personal sales calls and presentations.

Your Story

  • A seasoned professional with a minimum of two years’ experience selling in a hospitality or tourism environment, preferably in a hotel.
  • A Hospitality or Tourism program graduate or degree holder.
  • Someone with an outstanding work ethic, along with a track record of reliability, punctuality and an approachable demeanor, and a strong commitment to Safety.
  • Resilient and positive with a results-oriented mentality, passionate about achieving goals through planning and accomplishing targeted sales activities and the pursuit of new business leads.
  • An exceptional problem-solver, knowing how to troubleshoot and resolve situations efficiently.
  • Agile, and able to shift priorities as needed.
  • Able to work well under pressure and enjoy a fast-paced environment.
  • An excellent communicator, both written and verbal, who values teamwork and collaboration.
  • Physically able to stand, sit, walk for extended periods of time.
  • Able to attend industry or client events, sometimes during evenings or weekends.
