Aspen Heights British School Invests in Future Leaders Through Internal Promotions

Aspen Heights British School has announced a series of leadership appointments for the 2026 academic year, highlighting its commitment to developing talent from within and ensuring continuity for students and families.

Almost all of the appointments are internal promotions, reflecting the school’s belief in nurturing exceptional educators and creating clear pathways for professional growth. By investing in leaders who already know the school, its community and its values, Aspen Heights continues to strengthen the learning experience for every student.

Strengthening Primary Leadership for Continued Excellence

Leading the Primary phase from the new academic year will be Elizabeth Barry Cutter, who has been appointed Headteacher Primary, alongside Jane Louise Corney as Deputy Headteacher Primary.

Having been part of Aspen Heights since 2017, Elizabeth Barry Cutter has played a key role in the school’s growth and development. With extensive experience in curriculum development and assessment, she is passionate about ensuring every child reaches their full potential.

Jane Louise Corney brings more than 12 years of educational experience across the UK and the Middle East, with a strong background in wellbeing, safeguarding and inclusive education. Her focus on creating supportive learning environments has helped students thrive both academically and personally.

Recognising Internal Talent and Supporting Student Success

Further strengthening the Primary leadership team are Assistant Headteachers Jack Henderson, Yasmin Baldoza and Emily Page.

Jack Henderson’s appointment reflects Aspen Heights’ commitment to developing leaders from within. Since joining the school in 2021 as a Class Teacher, he has progressed to Head of Year 6 and now joins the senior leadership team, where he will lead attainment and academic progress from Nursery to Year 2.

Yasmin Baldoza, who joined Aspen Heights in 2019, brings more than a decade of teaching and leadership experience and will continue to lead inclusion across the Primary phase, ensuring every child feels supported and empowered to succeed.

Emily Page joined Aspen Heights in 2025, bringing extensive experience from both the UK and Kuwait. In her new role, she will focus on raising attainment and driving academic excellence across Years 3 to 6.

Expanding Leadership Capacity Across the Secondary Phase

The school has also strengthened leadership across the Secondary phase. Andrew Durcan has been appointed Vice Principal while continuing in his role as Headteacher Secondary. Since joining Aspen Heights, he has contributed significantly to the growth of the Secondary phase, including the introduction of new pathways that have expanded opportunities for students.

Supporting him is a strengthened Secondary leadership team, including newly appointed Deputy Headteacher Secondary James Alloub and Assistant Headteachers Tilly Cobley, Lynsey Stewart and Neelum Chaudry.

James Alloub brings more than 12 years of international education and leadership experience across the UK, Tunisia, Mongolia and the UAE. Since joining Aspen Heights in 2021, he has played an important role in fostering a culture of high expectations, strong relationships and student success.

Tilly Cobley joined Aspen Heights in 2024 as part of the inclusion team. With a background in Psychology and Clinical Psychology, she is passionate about creating a supportive environment where every student feels valued, understood and empowered to achieve their full potential.

Originally from Northern Ireland, Lynsey Stewart joined Aspen Heights in 2025 and has been appointed Assistant Headteacher Secondary, Pastoral. Building on her success as Head of PE, she is passionate about helping young people build confidence, resilience and a sense of belonging within the school community.

Neelum Chaudry joined Aspen Heights British School as Head of Science and now steps into the role of Head of Curriculum.
