Our Students practiced ways to ground their bodies and quiet their minds through the fun filled yoga classes by Mina Suzuki in September!

We were very excited to have Sam Gilbert as our specialist teacher during November. Sensei Sam has been training inKyokushin/Shinkyokushin karate since the age of eight, and has been one of the most successful full-contact karate competitors Australia has ever produced, winning multiple state and nationaltitles, culminating in a 4th place performance at the 2009 WorldCup in St Petersberg, Russia. Sam retired from international competition following the 2011 World Tournament. Sensei Sam has been teaching the martial art, which he is incredibly passionate about, at several international schools for over thirteen years and has incorporated his classes into Club 360 to give interested children of Tokyo access to his program and provide a permanent base for his school.

At ABC we strive to provide a warm, inviting and home-like environment to help our youngest learners feel safe, secure and ready to explore.

Our teachers are sensitive, intuitive and responsive to the children’s needs and help facilitate positive social interactions, providing stimulating expressive art activities, sensory circle times, outdoor play, cozy story times, and lots and lots of fun and hugs. Parents may join their children for the first few sessions to help them settle in or we will formulate a drop-off plan with you to best support your child and meet your needs.

We have a dedicated team of educators in the Nest who are experienced with toddlers and provide a safe and nurturing environment with opportunities to grow, explore and learn.

We believe in FULLY meeting and responding to the needs of our students.  As opposed to assigning children to a static group of classmates and teacher, we have created a fluid class framework.  What does this mean?  We are able to create and plan a day that meets the needs of the individual child.  If a child is feeling especially connected to one of our educators, or a friend that day, we will make sure that they stay together.  If a child is particularly active, we will make sure that they get a longer time in the gym or on the playground.  If they are really engaged in a learning activity, we will allow them the time to stay with an educator to explore the concept further.

Children are able to spend unstructured time throughout the day in a multiage setting.  When we break down into small learning groups for structured activities, we group children based on a multitude of factors including but not exclusive to age, language ability, interest, attention span.  This enables each of our children to experience learning success that meets their current needs.

Our ratios are exceptional and allow for the children to spend time within the daily framework in large, medium and small groups as well as have individual time with Nest educators daily.

ABC International Preschool was built brand new from the ground up with little people in mind. The building was completed two years ago and is fresh and made with superior building standards. This is the first preschool I have ever been in where the builders actually built the building to suit the needs of the children. You will find half-sized toilets, and crawls as well as tables suited to their height. There are outside and inside spaces for children to enjoy their school day. It is centrally located in a wonderful neighborhood in Minato very close to Nishimachi International School. The owner is a creative genius and has created a space that is completely magical and promotes kinesthetic learning. There are places to wind down that are just as thought out as places to get hands on involved in play. The staff is friendly and charismatic , well trained and hands on. You will not find a better preschool in all of Tokyo. If you have the joy of meeting the owner, you will want to send your kid home with her to have her raise them. She simply GETS kids. It's a gift.

The teachers at this school are down to earth, calm, kind and caring. I watch over and over the double digits at a time of hours poured into the planning, creating and caring that the staff put in to create such an amazing child care space. I'd send my xhd here on a heartbeat!
