Welcome To Al Salam Community School. Extending our core values ‘Where Every Child is Special’ as evidenced by the warm, inclusive family-owned ethos, Al Salam Community School will continue to be a leading contributor to education success of the United Arab Emirates.
Our aim is not only to be at the forefront of an education befitting the 21st century with skills such as Communication, Collaboration, Creativity underpinned with Critical Thinking; but also having the mindset for future success with themes based on: Care, Connection, Culture and Community.
Students will benefit from outstanding facilities with an outward looking view of the world around us to ensure each and every child has a true fusion of academic and holistic education.
We began our journey with just a handful of students over 30 years ago. Over time, and with dedication and effort, we have grown to have over 1200 pupils who call Al Salam their ‘second home’.
We believe that parents, students and school form a triangle of trust – each side have a duty to connect together closely and ensure the bond is tight. When this bond between the three sides is strong, our children flourish and succeed.
As a wonderfully diverse school, we are a highly inclusive multi-national, multicultural, multi-abled community.
We love the fact that our current school has over 50 nationalities, with more than 20 languages spoken by our families, and we intend that this diversity will continue at Al Salam Community School.
Such diversity is deeply reflective of Al Salam’s core values – tolerance, inclusion and diversity. It is with a profound sense of intention and urgency that we are looking ahead at the challenges in preparing our children with the values and skills they need for their future. We hope that opening Al Salam Community School will be a big step towards addressing this need.
Equipping our children with a sense of proactive ‘can-do’ attitude is at the heart of our approach. We feel so proud that over the years Al Salam has helped propel thousands of students into some of the top universities, companies and initiatives in and around the world.
We value every child and we believe that ‘every child is special. At Al Salam Community School (ASCS), we want our students to respect people, culture and the community at all times. We will ensure that our students develop an international mindset and gain international qualifications. Hence, upon successfully completing their education with ASCS, they are equipped for life and have choices that will enable them to be successful in their further education and future careers.
The campus has excellent facilities that enable us to provide a modern and international education. Al Salam Community School has the following facilities:
Salam’ means ‘peace’ in Arabic and together with the statement ‘where every child is special’, it is firmly embedded into the ethos of the school and a fundamental belief we inculcate in our staff and students. Diversity, tolerance and inclusion underpin the importance of celebrating individuality and a collective sense of purpose. These values fit very well into that of Dubai and the United Arab Emirates. It is reflected in all Al Salam has achieved in showing care and commitment for over 30 years in Dubai as well as all it strives to achieve in the future.
Al Salam Private School began as a nursery in 1985 and three years later, Al Salam Private School was established. The location of the school changed as it grew and larger sites were used to accommodate the growing numbers. Al Salam operated in the historic communities of Dubai, Al Rigga, to Al Muteena and later Hor Al Anz through to its current site in Al Nahda 2. In September 2019, this journey continued, with Al Salam Private School becoming a bespoke Primary in Al Nahda 2, and Al Salam Community School opening in Al Twar 2 for both primary and secondary children.
Our school is comprised of an international body of highly qualified and experienced staff and enjoys a community of students from around the world. We are dedicated to the positive growth of all our students- intellectually, physically, emotionally and spiritually.
For more than ten years, Al Salam Private School has been an approved and accredited IGCSE and IAS/IAL School by both Cambridge University International Examinations (CIE) and also Edexcel. Our curriculum takes into account various types of education and learning styles. The aim of our curriculum is to encourage students to be empathetic, responsible and capable of critical thinking, analytical thought and independent reasoning.
Results have been consistently outstanding, with GCSE results of A*-C averaging 99.6% from 2009 to 2016 inclusive; compared to a UK average of 68.5%. A*-A grades have averaged 69.2% over the same time period; compared to a UK average of 21.5%. Individual students have had exceptional success including the highest attainment in a subject locally and internationally as recognised by the Cambridge University International Examination Board.

This school lives by its name as they are so passionate about giving back to the community. Their management is open and well connected with the parents. They take parents consent every where possible. They invite us for events like community iftaar, friends of Al Salam, parent council and so much more to ensure parents are heard in best interest of our kids.
The quality of education is world class. Both my kids go to Al Salam community and I feel fortunate that it’s such a modern yet grounded with values. Highly recommended.

My kids have been in this school since 12 years. My son has graduated from here with amazing grades of 10 A stars. The management is unmatchable. We love the director Mrs Sue and Mr Tahir and their caring attitude like our kids are their kids. The teachers they choose are amazing mentors for our kids. I have kids in every level from primary to secondary to post secondary and Am very happy with all the levels. They give personal care and attention to every child. The bus service also is amazing attention to detail so that our kids reach home safely. There are many schools in Dubai but this kind of homely feeling and personal care is unmatched. My kids love to go to school. That’s the most important plus

My son was transferred to the school last year in 2nd term. The transition and admission process was smooth and their team is extremely professional.
Learning during these tough times have been top class with extensive attention even in virtual class.
Cleanliness and safety measures have been up to the mark.
I’m glad I chose this school and wish good luck to the school management to excel even further!
