Alfonso X el Sabio University (UAX) was the first private Spanish university authorised by the country’s parliament in 1993. Located in north-east Madrid, in Villanueva de la Cañada around 30 kilometres from the centre of the capital, its campus includes green space, modern facilities, sports facilities, university halls of residence, specialised laboratories in the different disciplines and multimedia classrooms.
At the UAX you will find a renowned private university with studies adapted to European standards, where ongoing assessments and practical aspects are given great importance.
Universidad Alfonso X el Sabio is closely linked to the business world. At the UAX 7,000 collaboration agreements with public agencies, foundations, professional bureaus, health centres, schools and private corporations enable students in the last years to do internships before they join the labour market.
The University also has a wide range of postgraduate courses (master and doctorate) taught at the Villanueva de la Cañada campus and at the UAX Postgraduate Institute (Madrid, Chamartín). Alfonso X el Sabio University was founded with a strongly European outlook. As a result, we have developed our institution to ensure all of our qualifications are fully adapted to the European Higher Education Area and the professional skills we impart are recognised in all EU member states. The UAX offers its students the option of carrying out a university exchange in one of more than 150 universities around the globe and the chance to do on-the-job training either in Spain or abroad.
The UAX has designed a linguistic immersion programme for foreign students studying a course at the University. The immersion programme’s aim is for students to be competent in Spanish language and to be able to complete their UAX studies successfully.
Our students use Spanish in their academic tasks, employing the different linguistic skills in texts and topics pertinent to the subjects they are studying.

UAX is a huge private college and the best degree to get there is vet because the have a private veterinary hospital inside the campus. They also have good teachers at odontology and a wind tunnel for precticing. Nice place with nice people.

Hola mi nombre es Rita Gil , aunque mi seudónimo sea incógnito ..
Estudié medicina en esta uni y solo tengo buenas palabras para esta gran facultad , no en vano le han otorgado el premio a la facultad de medicina .
Tengo mucho que agradecer y siento verdad que en nosotros está el levantar la carrera, es de agradecer la dedicación que los profesionales que allí ejercen son superiores , su paciencia y sacrificio unido al del estudiante era de sobre diez .
Hoy día soy intensivista en las Palmas , y tengo una hija que promete estudiar ahí ...

Buena universidad, los profesores en general tienen buen trato con el alumno son accesibles, comprometidos y grandes profesionales que se preocupan de que aprendas, clases muy reducidas (por lo menos en derecho) eso hace que te vayas a casa con la lección bien aprendida y sin dudas. Los exámenes son acorde con la materia dada en clase.
