Anglo Singapore International School - Nakhon Ratchasima

Anglo Singapore International School is founded on the philosophy that all children can be nurtured to achieve their fullest potential within a caring and challenging school environment using the Singapore curriculum. Its mission is to prepare the students to be diligent and independent learners who will advance themselves to rise creatively and joyfully to the challenges of life.

The curriculum consists of a four-year foundation stage from Primary 1 to 4 and a two-year orientation stage from Primary 5 to 6 with an overall purpose to give students a good grasp of the English language, mathematics, sciences and their respective mother tongue (Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Malay or Thai). All subjects are taught in English with the exception of the mother tongue languages.

Experienced and qualified in their respective field, all teachers are trained to bring quality and new innovative practices into the classroom. They are ready to properly guide the international students in their growing years and prepare them for the technologically advanced global world, especially the Singaporean students, enabling them to easily merge back into the educational system and preparing them for the highly acclaimed Singapore PSLE exams.

In small classes of not more than 24, students benefit from the personal attention given by their teachers. Anglo Singapore International School’s secluded campus is located in downtown Sukhumvit and fully equipped with a state-of-art computer room, math room, science lab, music room, library, art room, two swimming pools and a football field.

Anglo Singapore International School was founded in 2003. It started out as a small school to provide overseas Singaporeans a school with a high academic level comparable to that in Singapore. Over the years this high academic standard has managed to attract many other international students besides Singaporeans. Parents of these international students appreciate the rigour of the Singapore curriculum especially the depth that the curriculum provides. Students who studied at Anglo not only benefit from the depth of the Singapore curriculum but also the wide variety of subjects and additional learning areas so favoured by many western style educational systems. By fusing the best of both worlds Anglo Singapore was born. Thailand now has an all-round holistic education that allows students from any part of the world to easily assimilate into their home country.

Anglo started out from one modest school block nestled right in the heart of the city of Bangkok, at the end of Soi Sukhumvit 31. This site in Campus 31 was specifically chosen for its central yet secluded environment. The campus had a humble beginning starting with only four students. The school population grew to over 500 students with over 20 nationalities, resulting in a second campus being built in 2011 to accommodate the growing demand.

Anglo Singapore follows the curriculum of Singapore which aims to better prepare students to meet the changing national and global needs of the 21st century. Both campuses provide the same holistic and broad-based education based on the Singapore curriculum with choices of additional “mother tongues” such as Chinese , Japanese and Korean. Both campuses focus on providing students with a strong foundation in the core areas of literacy, numeracy and science as these core areas provide the foundation for future learning.

By popular demand , Anglo will open its 3rd campus, which will be the first international school in Nakhon Ratchasima from August 2014. This new campus will start accepting students from kindergarten to primary 4 with the intention of adding a level per year until primary 6 at Campus in Soi Yore, Suranarai Road, Amphur Mueang. A second purpose built campus which will cater to students from kindergarten to junior college is currently under design. The second campus will be on a 16 rai of land situated at Tumbol Nong Jabok, Amphur Mueang.
