At Ark Globe Academy we have the highest aspirations for all our children to ensure they are prepared for university and inspired to be leaders in their community. We offer our students a first class education based on high quality teaching and experiences outside of the classroom.
We are privileged to work with an amazing group of adults and children who are striving together to ensure every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential and pursue the career of their choice.
Our school is a happy school and we pride ourselves on the relationships our staff have with our students, caring for them throughout their education. We also work closely with families to ensure that all our students are committed to learning and develop the character necessary to take advantage of all the opportunities we provide.
Our school was recently recognised by the Government in its Parliamentary Review as an example of good practice in education and we are ranked in the top 5% of schools nationally. All of our year 13 students received an offer from a university, 60% of which were from a Russell Group university (top research universities).
There is one small school for students aged 3-11, two small schools for students aged 11-14, one small school for students aged 14-16 and a small school for students aged 16-18. Our mission is to prepare our students for university and to be leaders in their community.
Every child has the potential to succeed and there are no excuses not to achieve that success. We expect every Globe student to graduate from our academy with the qualifications, skills and confidence to achieve their ambitions and go on to higher education or their chosen career.
OUR ETHOS: A culture of high expectation and achievement requires a commitment to hard work and self-discipline. Globe Academy has a highly structured and orderly environment where everyone is well mannered and shows respect for others.
Our behaviour code reinforces students’ responsibility for their actions. We are quick to praise and reward and equally swift to tackle misbehaviour. Central to our philosophy of achievement is maintaining a calm and positive environment in the academy, so that teachers can teach and students can learn. Helping all students to behave responsibly creates a strong academy identity which students can be proud of.
At Ark Globe Academy we believe that in order to ensure all our students achieve to the highest level we need to do things differently.
The small school model offers a distinct advantage for students and their education. In a small school each student is known as an individual. Students have an education tailored to his/her need, has achievement tracked and intervention strategies implemented if required.
In October 2014 Ofsted rated the Early Years (Nursery and Reception) provision in the academy as 'Outstanding'.
Our stimulating, purpose built nursery offers a daily morning or afternoon session where the intake is 25 pupils per session. Children in the nursery are often learning how to be apart from their parents for the first time. We teach them the skills and understanding to help them to learn independently, communicate effectively and work with others.
In Reception, children begin to move from play-based learning activities to more structured practical activities. We offer full-time places for 60 children in one intake.
The EYFS Framework covers the development and learning of children from birth to the end of their reception year in school. We aim to build on children's previous experiences as they enter our school to ensure a happy and purposeful year in Nursery or Reception. This enables our children to be ready and confident for Key Stage 1.
A strong command of English and mathematics is vital for success across the whole curriculum. We prioritise these subjects and dedicate extra time to them so that pupils are confident and have the strong foundations they need to succeed.
Children also study foundation subjects as part of the National Curriculum.
Our curriculum has been designed to not only enable students to access the best universities but also to provide them with the skills needed to become leaders in their community. Our aim is to create independent young men and women who have the knowledge, skills and motivation to make a difference to the world around them.
We have a two-year Key Stage 3, with students choosing their GCSE/BTEC options in Year 8. This enables students to begin their chosen options in Year 9, providing them with a foundation year prior to Key Stage 4. At Key Stage 4 we want as many pupils as possible to follow the English Baccalaureate as this will provide them with the more choices post-16.
We expect students to play a role in our community – leading others through their example and their commitment to the values of the academy. We believe we are stronger together than we are alone and because we believe this we know that while our individual success is important, our participation in the community is what makes us.
Ark Globe Academy Sixth Form offers Level three qualifications as either A Levels or Professional Pathways with a BTEC Extended Diploma.
All sixth form students are full time, and are working towards Level 3 qualifications that will enable them to progress either to Higher Education, higher level apprenticeships (including degree apprenticeships) or school leaver training programmes with larger employers.

Thank you once again for doing your part to keep Edarabia the most trusted education source.
Globe is hard and I hate the expectation, but in the bright side ,It's teaching me all the skill (behaviour, professionalism, )main ones to succeed for the future.
At first I hated the school honestly. But now I'm actually enjoying it.THIS is because this school is outstanding with behaviour, attendance (really serious about it).Every teacher's in the school are working hard to make us feel safe and comfortable. At globe bullying is taken seriously, (gone from the school)...I guess this is why they are the no.1 in the United kingdom.
They also have :
Growth mindset
Integrity
Professionalism
Relationship
Independence
Social Justice.
To see more and tey put old come and xhrxk it out.
If you want your child to succeed in future. This is the best school.

There's this boy, George I think, who makes my morning journey to work so enjoyable. He is polite and once reminded me that I had dropped my bus pass and helped me retrieve it. This random act of kindness not only ensured I got back home safely, but the reassurance that this school is a great one. He is in year 9.
