The Assistant Director has Teaching Professor status is responsible for program leadership, oversight, and management of ABSN program in the Cleveland site of the College of Nursing. The Assistant Director oversees matters relating to the admissions, practicum curriculum delivery and program continuity and delivery, benchmarking and evaluation, accreditation data gathering and regulatory compliance for site. The Assistant Director will assure effective deployment of resources to accomplish the goals and objectives of the program track. The Assistant Director serves as the point person for communication between University- Cincinnati and the site and ensures that practicum (lab and clinical) are aligned with the didactic courses and delivered as designed. This individual will cultivate and develop networks that lead to new collaborations and opportunities within Columbus and act as local spokesperson for the program when needed. The Assistant Director reports to the Associate Director of the ABSN program of the College of Nursing in fulfilling these position responsibilities.
The Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) Program Track is a 16 month, second degree program. The curriculum is aligned with the BSN traditional program and adapted for the second degree population. The curriculum has a hybrid delivery, with didactic courses delivered online through our Cincinnati campus, with lab and simulation curriculum delivered in our Cleveland facility with clinical placements in local and regional sites.
Qualification:
Holds a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university and a graduate degree in nursing from an accredited program within a regionally accredited college or university, doctoral degree preferred.
