Institutional Requirement
To be considered for appointment, the candidate must wholeheartedly endorse the Mission Statement and the Statement of Faith of the University. The successful candidate must demonstrate graduate level course work in the areas of teaching or related experience. A Ph.D. in a field related to human physiology or kinesiology (human health, physiology and/or anatomy, physical education) is required. Candidates with post- doctoral experience are preferred.
Teaching Load
Four term courses or equivalent per year, including labs and seminars.
Particulars of the Position
The successful candidate should be able to teach courses in Kinesiology, Human Anatomy and Physiology, Exercise Physiology, and Growth and Development. He or she will be required to work closed with other faculty to deliver courses and contribute to the interdisciplinary learning environment. The successful candidate will be committed to a faith-based approach to teaching and learning in the discipline and is expected to develop a program of scholarship. The faculty at The King’s University are recognized for involving undergraduate students in their scholarship, with some faculty members having obtained external funding.
