Associate Highway Engineer

Job Summary

We have an opportunity for an ambitious Graduate Highway Engineer with basic knowledge of highway design to complement our growing highways team in Dubai. You will become an integral part of a respected and ambitious team, and the role will provide every opportunity for you to make your mark and influence the continuing sustainable growth of Parsons in Dubai and further afield.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Perform a variety of highway engineering duties by applying basic engineering techniques for road and highway design and analyses within road discipline.
• The Highway Engineer at this level is in a developmental mode, being trained under close supervision in the utilization of engineering theories and practices, and gaining exposure to Company procedures.
• Assignment may be to a structured rotational program which would include experience in Project Controls, Procurement, and Construction Management, as well as through several disciplines in Engineering.
• Some assignments involve CAE (computer aided engineering)/CAD (computer aided design) applications.
• Willingness to travel or relocate to supplier, client, or construction site locations is expected.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in highway engineering.
• Internship/Work experience in highway design/engineering with experience using civil 3D.
• Basic engineering knowledge in electrical, mechanical, civil, or a related field.
• Familiarity with CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering is also required.
