AUT believes education is an individual pursuit, not an institutional product. While we offer qualifications, we see them as a formality to far greater personal outcomes.
It’s the deeply human characteristics of curiosity, creativity, connection and collaboration that are the new global currency, and are at the core of our teaching philosophy. It’s these skills, and ways of thinking, that ensure our students thrive in a world of rapid technological change.

I studied here for one year. The papers were practical and interesting. In addition, lecturers were always willing to help when I reached out to them. Great experience!

I love AUT, done my undergaduate degree and currently pursuing my PG. Student get instant support, and the service is good. Very diverse. The lab lacks materials and got old. All in all, my experience is good.

Very unhelpful stuff who gives wrong advice and all they care about is making money..they keep failing students and not accepting them into their prefered programme even though they have top marks.

Loved the people I met, University was fun because of them. However once you become a graduate they don't care about you or help you as much to find a job relating to your degree. They don't prepare you for reality whatsoever. Just go in pay your fees, get your degree and that's it. No further assistance from there. They also nearly mucked up my degree by only giving me 1 major where I did 2 majors. Had to follow up in regards to that. Would love to come back and study, but don't see the point since they can't support you in regards to finding a job relating to your degree.

I am 2nd sem PG student at AUT. AUT is more like bubble, more like another product selling institution. No real value for education. Mostly tutors are masters and PhDs, however they lack basic knowledge about course. I am doing PG in Information Technology and tutor has no clue of practical part of the course, they mostly read out from slides, which kind of annoying. In one of the course, I couldn't even understand tutor through out my semester. Some of the slides bought from Pearson. Overall, I would suggest people to come get admission and get degree, don't expect to learn anything or just avoid it and do your course from smaller institution.

Just starting my studies at AUT. I feel it has an excellent environment for studying. AUT put so much effort in the interior design for example the Sir Paul Reeves building. Here there are many helpful lecturers and staff to bring out the best from students.
