Australian Trade College - North Brisbane

We are a co-educational senior school offering Year 11 and 12 students the opportunity to complete their Senior Schooling while pursuing hands on learning towards a trade career. Trade studies are our focus and they are integrated into school.

Our on-site state-of-the-art facilities are among the best in Queensland, allowing our students to learn industry best practice. Our teaching staff have many years industry experience, allowing staff to teach old and new techniques while giving students a valuable understanding of what to expect in their chosen trade career. Our students are well regarded within industry and have an above average 80% employment success rate.  Here at the Australian Trade College North Brisbane, we’re a one-stop-shop with everything completed onsite.

Along with our unique trade offerings, students at the Australian Trade College North Brisbane study Mathematics and English.  This enables all students to qualify for the Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE). There are many options available that complement the students’ trade studies.  Our teachers are dedicated, experienced, and committed to our unique model.

Along with these studies, we have other traditional ‘school’ activities, like camp, the senior formal and sports activities.  This allows students the best of both worlds, the benefits of trade training, while still enjoying typical school milestones. We develop the workforce and create sustainable employment opportunities, by increasing individual competence through quality education and training.

Australian Trade College North Brisbane’s (ATCNB) Cadet Program is a unique one semester program that provides Year 10 students with the opportunity to get hands on experience in a range of trade subject areas and make an informed choice about a preferred pathway for Years 11 and 12! The Cadet Program is ideal for students who may already have an interest in a specific trade area, as well as those students who aren’t sure about what trade pathway they want to pursue. Cadets get to experience an extensive range of ATCNB’s trade offerings and find out what it would be like to pursue a career in their trade area of choice.
