B. C. Muslim School

The BC Muslim School is an Independent School enrolling students from Kindergarten to Grade 7. The purpose of BC Muslim School is to provide a superior standard of education to foster academic achievements and to cultivate an Islamic Spirit in each student. Our School motto is “Perseverance, Excellence, Commitment and Knowledge.

Our school facility includes all amenities that are necessary for quality all-rounded education.

We are currently upgrading our technological infrastructure. Part of it is upgrading the class rooms with interactive Smart Board, providing laptop to all the teachers. The primary classes are the first one to implement the technology upgrade. Gradually all classes will come under the technology upgrade.

Low Student-Teacher ratio

BC Muslim School has low student -teacher ratio; which is one of the important elements for students to succeed. Small class help  student to learn better and participate effectively in class activities. Teachers can also closely monitor all the students.

Qualified and Certified teachers

All of our teachers are experienced and qualified to teach in their area of expertise. All of our teachers are certified by BC Ministry of Education. Our Islamic Studies curriculum is carefully prepared for children to learn about Islam, Qur’an and Arabic.

Well equipped computer Lab

Technology is very important for today’s learning. To accommodate that we build up an well equipped computer lab. The Computer lab includes

• Pentium computers for students
• High speed internet connection,
• Multimedia and laser printing capabilities

Each division of all grades have to take computer class once a week. Computer lab is also used for other academic use such as FSA practice test.

Science Lab

BC Muslim School has science lab as part of school facilities. Our Science Lab is available for students to use for science class. Students use the lab for experiment new things as part of the learning process. The Science Lab is also used for our Health and Well Being day activities.

Library

A school Library is a good source of learning. BC Muslim School has a school library with a good collection of books. These books are available for students to borrow. Our Library has variety of books such as academic, fiction, fairy tale, thriller and so on. Students visit the Library as part of their study.

Prayer Facility  (Mosque)

Our school is adjacent to the Richmond Mosque. Students from all grades except KG go to the Mosque for Saalat. All students also participate in Saalat ul Jumah. This encourage students to understand the value of prayer and the help to develop the practice of praying everyday.

Gymnasium

BC Muslim School also has a GYM for children. The Gym is used for Physical Education, school events; Graduation ceremony, Qur’an Competition Celebration and other events.
