Becontree Primary School

Welcome to Becontree Primary School: a school where children and their learning is at the heart of everything we do. Our school motto is Respecting One Another; three words that are an expectation of all members of our school community.

Every single person here wants the very best for every child; that’s why we do a lot of thinking and work hard. We are always asking questions about what we do, why we do it and how we can do things better.

Teamwork is very important to us because we know that we can do things better by working together with others; our children and their families, governors, staff, local community, other schools and professionals all make a positive difference to our school.

Equalities - The Equality Act 2010 introduced a single Public Sector Equality Duty that applies to maintained and independent schools in England and Wales and came into effect in April 2011. It covers all aspects of school life related to how a school treats pupils, parents and carers, employees, volunteers and all other members of the school community. It requires us to report on how we are showing due regard to inequalities within our school and other conduct that is prohibited by the Act.

The governors and staff at Becontree Primary School are committed to:

Our specific duties are to:
