The Bilingual International School of Paris welcomes children from 3 to 14 years of age. BISP offers a fully bilingual educational program, providing your child the opportunity to be fully immersed into two completely different linguistic worlds. Our unique model entails dividing the day into two distinct parts: students spend half of the day in English language instruction and the other half of the day in French language instruction.
At BISP it is not a matter of your child learning a second language, but rather, your child will receive instruction and learn and grow using two languages, and this is an important distinction. Our high-quality academic program is delivered by our native English and native French speaking teachers. Not only is our aim to deliver a bilingual program, we also strive to offer a strong academic program delivered by quality instructors.
With its literal application of bilingualism, BISP differentiates itself from other academic programs. Once your child joins our community, they begin using and learning both French and English with the same level of emphasis, allowing for perfect mastery of both languages over the course of their academic journey at BISP.
Further to its school program, BISP offers English Language Courses. You can either opt to enrol your child in our Wednesday Club program, providing your child weekly exposure to the English language and Anglo-Saxon culture or choose our English Language Vacation camps during the school vacation periods. Either option is a great way to improve your child’s English language skills.
Our Preschool and Kindergarten Program affords parents the opportunity to enroll their little ones in a bilingual English and French academic program as early as 3 years of age! For those who are really looking for an early start, depending on availability, we are sometimes able to accept children who are 2.5 years of age during our second term which begins in January. Our classes are small, with about 12 students maximum and our English and French mother tongue teachers deliver a fun and creativity-based program that is 50% English language and 50% French language. This immersive approach will allow your child to learn to speak both languages fluently. Our students not only communicate and learn from their teachers, but they are also in constant contact with children of varied backgrounds. These peer relationships stimulate their curiosity and foster a cultural openness and awareness that is both spontaneous and naturally occurring.
In our Primary School neither English or French is considered a secondary or foreign language. The BISP Primary School delivers fully bilingual, high quality instruction within a balanced framework: 50% of instruction time is in French, 50% is in English. All classes are taught by native language instructors. Both languages are omnipresent whether they are being used as the language of instruction within the classroom or being used as a vehicle of oral communication in daily interactions with teachers and friends. Our unique approach to language learning supports our students as they become bilingual while following our Primary School curriculum. However, learning does not stop there as the school’s multicultural environment, as represented by over 32 nationalities from around the world, affords all our students the chance to learn from one another and broaden their horizons. Without even leaving the school, our students’ friendships and relationships with their peers and teachers allow them to virtually travel the world, learning about different cultures and countries along the way. Students benefit from our varied and rich curriculum set in a multicultural environment and are acquiring experience which will allow them to participate fully in the world outside our classrooms.

Notre fille a effectué deux ans de maternelle à BISP, je suis ravie de l'enseignement qu'elle a reçu. Le découpage entre l'avant-midi en français et l'après-midi en anglais permet une totale immersion dans chaque langue, le niveau des professeurs est très bon, les méthodes d'apprentissage sont excellentes (apprentissage par le jeu / voyages virtuels dans différents pays / cas pratique …). Nous parlons uniquement français à la maison et dès la fin de la petite section les progrès de notre fille en anglais étaient impressionnants ! Nous avons maintenant déménagé dans un pays anglophone et notre fille se débrouille bien en anglais et c'est grâce à l'enseignement reçu à BISP. Je recommande vivement cette école si vous souhaitez que vos enfants suivent un cursus bilingue.

BISP is a one of a kind school in Paris! I am so happy to have found this school for my son. It is his fifth year at BISP and he absolutely loves coming to school and adores his two third grade teachers. My son is completely bilingual and is being challenged by the rigorous Cambridge program. He is truly a global child, having been exposed to a rich social studies curriculum where he "traveled" the globe whilst learning side by side from children from around the world. The small class size has enabled him to get the special attention and support that he needs. The team is great, you can tell that they love their profession and work together well. I wholeheartedly recommend this school!

My daughter goes to the nursery class. Teachers are passionate and professional. They love kids a lot. My daughter enjoys the school very much and she wants to go to school always. She gets accustomed very soon to school even though she is small. I appreciate the teachers and the staffs for their effort.

We moved to Paris from USA three months ago and this school has truly made the transition for my 7year old son a wonderful experience. He is learning French very well and continues to grow his English skills. The teachers have spent the extra time he needed to catch up to the other kids in his class as we came into the school few months into the year. Boris, the head of the school has done a wonderful job with this school. The school projects and field trips have all been added education for my son. I would recommend this school.

My son recently joined Grade 2 at BISP. We are really impressed by the dedication and commitment of both his teachers and head of school. In almost every aspect from organisation of classrooms, sports classes, home works, science fairs, field trips to grading, reports, parent-teacher interactions we can really see the uniqueness of BISP. My son just loves the care and attention from everyone at school and we are happy to have found BISP.

Our son attended the primary school for the 2016-17 school year (we have since moved away from Paris). We were very happy with the progress he made in English as well as in French. The curriculum was balanced and varied and he always looked forward to going to school. We appreciated the small class sizes, good learning support and frequent updates from the teachers.

My daughter spent 2 wonderful years at BISP. It’s a completely bilingual school with half days in English and half days in French. The classes are small:12 to 15 students. The teachers are amazing. Learning is fun. The principal is very approachable and communication flows very smoothly between parents and the school (e.g. weekly newsletters, daily touch points with staff, frequent events and parents/ teachers meetings).
