Blue Hills College is a Christian Private School situated in Midrand, halfway between Johannesburg and Pretoria. Established in 1996 by Chief Ndlovu, and David Mlauzi, Blue Hills College has evolved from being a small-inner city school to a well-established independent institution with boarding and an excellent academic record.
Originally located in the Johannesburg Central Business District under the name of St Paul’s, the school initially catered for both primary and high school learners. The primary school was unfortunately discontinued due to lack of adequate facilities. The early years were a very difficult period for the school.
The school relocated to Braamfontein in 1998, where it grew from approximately 250 to over 400 learners, before the decision was taken in 1999 to move the high school to a larger, permanent location in Midrand in order to establish linked boarding facilities to accommodate learners living outside the region.
In preparation for growth by the year 2002 the school was run by its first board of Directors that included its founder members Mr. Chief Ndlovu, Mr. David Mlauzi joined by Mr. Roy Ndlovu. The school experienced remarkable growth by 2005 the school embarked on a further bigger challenge and built new classrooms to accommodate 560 learners. Mr. Nkululeko Mpofu joined the Directorship of Blue Hills College in 2006.
Determined to be a school of choice amongst the inner-city schools the school experienced rapid growth and there was need to allow growth for all that came into contact with Blue Hills College, both learner and educator.
Moments have never been dull at Blue Hills College, each challenge has always been taken as a learning curve Today the school is very proud of its contribution to society. Among its former learners, the school is honored to have young man and women emerge leading in various industries across the country and we are very proud to have learners enrolled in very prestigious universities in South Africa producing professionals in Finance, Science, Aviation, Law Medicine, Engineering and many other occupations.
Blue Hills College is proud to announce that our Preparatory school opened in January 2019, and it growing rapidly. Thus our Private School is now able to accommodate everyone from Grade R - Grade 12 (Matric). We are also now working completely on the IEB Curriculum, which means that the quality of our Education has improved from the standard GDE, which will offer your child a better future, with more opportunities.
Blue Hills Preparatory opened in January 2018 and is an independent School of excellence, registered with the Gauteng Department of Education. The Preparatory provides outstanding facilities, qualified and dedicated teachers with passion and enthusiasm to fulfil the needs of each pupil in a sensitive, caring manner and a balanced programme of academic, cultural and sporting pursuits.
In this dynamic, happy learning environment, supported by a Christian-based value system, our pupils will be able to achieve their full potential academically, physically, socially and spiritually to emerge as well balanced, productive individuals who are “inspired to make a difference” in our World.

Blue Hills College offers a tranquil learning environment on the outskirts of a vibrant and growing town of Midrand. The 16 hectare piece of land on which the College is situated provides an excellent atmosphere which supports the spiritual and intellectual development of honest, future leaders of this nation. Throughout the year our learners are kept away from the noisy and busy life of the city to allow them to grow and develop in the natural way.
Blue Hills College always strives to instill discipline, integrity, responsibility and self confidence in its learners. Learners are encouraged to develop leadership qualities as they participate in the day to day programs and activities organized by the school.
