Bridge Design Engineer

Job Summary

This role is available to expatriate international candidates only. Candidates placed in this role must have overseas experience and will have extensive experience of railway, bridges, ERS, alignment and track design.

Responsibilities

• Carry out feasibility studies for strengthening and repair of bridges
• Maintain structure records
• Participate in ERS, Alignment and Track Design
• Work in a team of design engineers and draftsman for projects, multi-disciplinary coordination and client contractor coordination
• Interface with multi-disciplinary project teams and contractors
• Ensure compliance with design and safety standards, as required
• Prepare design criteria and design statement
• Interpreting specifications, drawings, standards and regulations
• Prepare concept report for bridges
• Organize and undertake site inspections, as required.
• Designing railway infrastructure, in particular bridges and tracks
• Prepare bridge design and drawings, and construction phase drawings

Requirements

• Knowledge of industry standard software, international design standards and codes
• Strong planning and organisation skills
• Expatriate international candidates only
• BSc in Civil/Structural Engineering
• 3+ years’ overseas experience
• 6+ years’ experience on large scale rail projects in a similar role
• 10+ years’ post graduate experience
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
