The British Preschool philosophy has been developed over the years of teaching and caring experience to blend the traditional British teaching values with outdoor Scandinavian and Montessori philosophies. We know that children develop and learn in different ways and at different paces; and that all areas of learning and development are equally important and inter-connected.

Early Childhood is the most important phase for overall development. What occurs in the early years sets the foundation for the future, so as a parent it is imperative that your child receives the correct guidance and nurturing to develop sensibility and confidence as they grow. We ensure each child receives personalized attentive care and the best educational experience possible in a homely environment.

We also help the children discover active enjoyment in life along with good social skills. We focus on bringing out each child’s best qualities and to make each child a truly rounded person. Our approach is different; each individual child matters to us and our child-focused and affectionate environment provides tailored physical and mental stimulation for them. Good manners and behavior are integral to a balanced all-round education. We provide a well-balanced curriculum to support all areas of learning and development.

Our preschool provides a safe and secure environment where each child gets the opportunity to develop at their pace. With educational learning and development focused in small groups each child receives a teacher’s close attention, which is important when providing the children with best educational experience. All our preschool children will be carefully prepared for a smooth transition to school.

Children from any ethnic backgrounds who speaks either Sinhalese, Tamil or English are all welcome to join. They will be later guided by us to enroll into any national schools. British Early Years Curriculum is for children to explore and learn in an environment that is secure and safe, yet challenging. Children’s individual needs, interests and passions will be observed and recorded to ensure effective care and guidance are provided. Annual progress reports and parents' meetings to regularly monitor children's activities. All our staff are well qualified and some hold international qualifications and experience. In a relaxed atmosphere, under the caring guidance of experienced adults who will also supervise with their homework.

British Preschool is open from 7.30am – 6 pm to facilitate parents who lead a busy lifestyle. Young children thrive best in an environment that supports and promotes their active learning and development. An appropriate, relaxed, stimulating environment is offered for children with different ages for meeting the needs of all the children. At the British Preschool daycare we offer children access to indoor and outdoor spaces in which they can explore, create, think, learn and develop with the support and interactions from highly skilled teachers.

Our after school club service provides children a relaxed atmosphere, under a caring guidance of experienced adults who will also supervise their homework.
