Every single day our academy community works hard together to achieve the very best in teaching and learning and ensure that we offer an exceptional environment for academic, artistic and sporting success.
In September 2023, we were proud to join the Harris Federation, which runs over 52 successful primary and secondary schools in and around London. Every Harris academy inspected by Ofsted is rated ‘good’ or ‘outstanding’, with the majority rated ‘outstanding’. GCSE results in the Harris Federation are the best in the country for how much student progress from their starting point in Year 7 and we know that
We hope that this website gives you a sense of the opportunities on offer here. Please feel free to contact us if there is any further information that we can provide.

CCA is a welcoming school. Mr Thomas (Principle) is very approachable and always makes himself available to talk to you. There is always room for improvement in any school. I am a huge supporter of CCA, both the students and staff are very polite and have good manners. I am very impressed with the warm and friendly atmosphere, it is wonderful to see this in a secondary school. I have been a parent at CCA for the last 4 years, my boys have achieved so much and they are so happy there. This achievement is continuous despite a few ups and downs at the beginning. However, once I raised my concerns with the school, they were dealt with quickly and appropriately. I believe that CCA is a place where any child can explore learning and it is a place where diversity is celebrated. I have great passion and trust that CCA will deliver the chance to get the best out of each child that attends, knowing that every child is different. My sons do not like sport or art but regardless of this, they are making excellent progress in other curriculum subjects. I pride myself on the fact that my children attend CCA. As a parent I dream of the best for my boys and I would want to maintain this by ensuring that the school continues to have high standards in all areas. CCA has upheld a 'good' reputation by the recent inspection report from OFSTED. This has been strengthened and developed through the greater involvement of all the stakeholders in all areas. It is our role as parents to support our children in their learning. I would like to ask all parents to stay positive and support your children and your school. CCA WILL continue to be the unique place that has high expectations and continue to provide many opportunities for all children to ACHIEVE.

One of the most helpful things about CCA is Alex Thomas - the Principal's willingness to listen and make changes where needed. My daughter has just come to the end of year 7 and we have experienced nothing but enthusiasm for improvement...and yes we did make our dissatisfaction known when she wasn't happy. She is now very happy and her progress is good.
It is a mixed ability school but then the world is mixed ability. Children learn an extra set of skills by mixing with a broader range of people. CCA caters for all children and all abilities. Personally I have found the staff warm, friendly and driven and would always pursue any issues I was unhappy with.
I have met some great parents there too and we help at events to forge a friendship with the school, teacher and pupils and of course we fundraise. Not all schools offer this at secondary level. Personally I think it is crucial.

I have only positive comments to share about Capital City Academy. My son is currently in Year 7 and he has had a fantastic year. He has settled well and formed many positive relationships with both students and staff at the school. There is a friendly Parent Forum which works with the staff to fundraise and support at events that take place at the school. This has also helped me to feel like I am part of CCA.
There is generally a warm and welcoming atmosphere at the school and all staff members, including the Principle – Alex Thomas are approachable. This has made it easier for me to share any concerns that I have had and feel confident that something will be done about it. My son is happy to go to school each day and has enjoyed being part of many events that have taken place throughout his first year at the school. Like any other parent, I was concerned about my child making the transition from a small primary to large secondary school. However, this has been very successful and he has made good progress in all areas of learning and development. I am proud to say my son goes to Capital City Academy and would most definitely recommend the school to other parents.
