Schools across the UAE were abuzz with excitement and pride on Tuesday as CBSE Class 10 and 12 board examination results were released.

Many institutions reported a 100 per cent pass rate, with students achieving perfect scores in subjects such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Chemistry, Biology, and Psychology.

In total, 106 CBSE-affiliated schools in the UAE participated in this year’s board examinations, which concluded on March 18.

While the initial results were made available online on Tuesday morning, students were reminded that these are provisional. Official mark sheets, which are essential for university admissions and other formal processes, will be issued by individual schools.

Lalitha Suresh, principal of GEMS Our Own Indian School — one of Dubai’s oldest institutions, extended her greetings.

“My heartiest congratulations to our students, teachers, and parents on the outstanding CBSE results! This achievement reflects our students’ dedication to academic excellence, the unwavering commitment of our teachers, and the strong support of our parent community,” she said. “Together, we’ve built a culture of collaboration and high expectations, and we look forward to continuing this shared journey of success.”

Top achievers

Among the institution’s top performers was Lakshmi Keerthana Shaji, the Humanities and overall school topper, with an impressive 98 per cent. She scored a perfect 100 in Psychology and Mass Media. She will pursue Computer Applications at Christ University in Bangalore.

Ayush Vijay, who topped Commerce with 97.4 per cent, will study BBA in Professional Finance and Accountancy at St. Joseph’s College of Commerce in India.

Meanwhile, Science topper Amnah Azad who scored 98 per cent, including 100 in both Chemistry and Biology, will attend the University of Nottingham in the UK to study Medicine.

Delhi Private School (DPS) Dubai also celebrated a 100 per cent pass rate among its 273 students, with 98.2 per cent securing distinctions. Notably, 82 students scored a perfect 100 in one or more subjects.

Syed Mohammad Habiburahman topped the Science stream with 99.4 per cent, while Tania Sarah Binu and Rifat Fatema Minazali Merchant topped Commerce with 99 per cent. Edna Abu Abraham led the Humanities stream with 97.2 per cent.

Excellence across UAE

At JSS Private School Dubai, students continued the trend of excellence as they celebrated a 100 per cent pass rate in both Grades 10 and 12. Nearly all students scored above 75 per cent, with the school recording an overall average of 87.4 per cent. Notably, over 45 per cent scored 90 per cent and above, and Grade 10 students alone achieved 17 Centums in AI.

Similarly, Crescent English High School and Central School Dubai each recorded a 100 per cent pass rate, with 130 and 147 students, respectively, clearing the board exams successfully.

At The Indian High School – Oud Metha campus, all students passed with first-division marks across all streams. A total of 80 students scored a perfect 100 in one or more subjects, covering 15 disciplines. The number of top-tier grades (A1 and A2 aggregates) in Grade 12 showed a notable increase.

Punit MK Vasu, CEO of The Indian High Group of Schools, credited the success to a combination of structured planning, experienced mentorship, and a supportive learning environment.

“From the beginning of Grade 11, our students embark on well-defined learning pathways under the mentorship of experienced educators. Through continuous motivation, personalised support, and a culture of excellence, every learner is empowered to realise their full potential.

“We are deeply grateful for the steadfast support of our parents and wider school community, whose encouragement continues to inspire our collective success,” Punit said.

Sharjah Indian School also posted impressive numbers: out of 266 Grade 12 students, 40 scored above 90 per cent, 183 above 75 per cent, and 257 above 60 per cent.

Toppers to study in UAE

Kirti Roshankumar Thakar, the Science topper at GEMS Our Own English High School – Dubai, scored 99 per cent and aims to pursue her higher education at the Indian Institute of Technology (IITD) – Abu Dhabi.

She expressed gratitude to her parents and teachers for their guidance and support throughout her academic journey. ” I am xtremely grateful to my parents for being my strongest pillars of support, and to my teachers, whose invaluable guidance lit the path through every challenge I faced in the pursuit of excellence.”

Grade 10 Topper Nayomi Sajayan Nair, also from GEMS Our Own English High School – Dubai, credited her success to focus, hard work, and determination. “This achievement is the result of guidance from my teachers, unwavering support from my family, and firm belief in a goal,” she added.

At Sunrise International School in Abu Dhabi, which presented its first batch for the Grade 10 board exams, Vedant Bharatkumar Bhuva stood out as the school topper with a 98 per cent overall aggregate. He earned a perfect 100 in Science, Social Studies, and IT.

Broader CBSE landscape

Dr Ram Shankar, director of the CBSE Regional Office and Centre of Excellence in Dubai, provided insights into the broader CBSE landscape abroad.

Speaking to Khaleej Times, he shared that the Dubai office oversees 256 CBSE-affiliated schools in 26 countries, including 106 in the UAE. “This year, the Grade 12 examinations were conducted over a span of 49 days, while the Grade 10 exams took place over 33 days.

“A total of 21,825 candidates were registered from foreign schools — CBSE does not differentiate between them in this context — and the overall pass percentage among these students was 95.01 per cent,” he noted.

“My message to students is identify the areas where more effort is needed and focus on improving there. Always trust your understanding and personal learning process,” he concluded.
