The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, Singapore (CILTS) is the professional body for those engaged in logistics, transport and physical distribution – covering all sections of the industry; namely, land and sea, for both passengers and freight transportation. Its objectives are to enhance professionalism, promote continuous learning and facilitate career development amongst logistics and transport professionals.

The Institute is aligned to the objectives of CILT(UK). It is managed by a Board of Directors with help and guidance from the members of the Advisory panel.

CILTS is part of CILT-International, a worldwide organisation with an established international pedigree and a global membership strength of more than 32,000. The organisation was formed in the United Kingdom ( Visit CILT- UK ) in 1919 as the Institute of Transport and granted a Royal Charter in 1926. It was renamed as The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) in 2001. The Singapore Group was formed in 1971. This Group was converted into a Section in 1986 and to National Council in 1991.
