Chisenhale is proud to be a community school. Our community is a rich social and ethnic mix and families are welcomed to become an important part of school life. We have a really committed and hard-working staff team, who want children to enjoy learning through a range of interesting experiences. Our vision is Learning Together for a Better Future and in order to achieve this vision we aim for all children to be:
As a school we have a strong ethos of inspiring children to enjoy learning. We celebrate the rich diversity within our community and nurture children’s individuality. Staff’s particular talents are valued and we also recognise the need for consistency and shared standards for school life.
As a school we have a strong ethos of inspiring children to enjoy learning. We celebrate the rich diversity within our community and nurture children’s individuality. Staff’s particular talents are valued and we also recognise the need for consistency and shared standards for school life. This policy aims to promote a unified, rights respecting approach, to enable high quality learning. We are currently working towards becoming a UNICEF Rights Respecting School.
Our children learn through a Creative Curriculum, which we have developed over the past few years, in order to make learning more exciting and meaningful.. We work on whole school topics, such as London; Clothes; Back to the Future; Food and in summer 2012, the Olympics and Paralympics, of course! We have high expectations of all children and give lots of praise. We believe our job is to inspire and motivate through the learning experiences we offer children.
We hope you will enjoy our website, either as visitors, or as partners with us at Chisenhale. Please have a look through the different pages on offer and do get in touch with any comments or if you want to know more.
If any parents require a paper copy of any of the information on our website please come in to the school office where we will print the documents you require.
We have Parents’ Meetings twice a year, where all parents and carers are encouraged to come in and talk to their child’s class teacher, as well as looking at their work. Details of how to book an appointment come out in Chisenhale Chatter, our weekly newsletter, and everyone is encouraged to come along. We offer appointments until 7pm on one of the evenings, to cater for working parents.
