Our School Vision: Rooted in our Christian foundation, we are an aspirational community loving and serving God. We seek to recognise and develop our unique gifts in accordance with the biblical principles of inclusiveness, tolerance and love, preparing children to be educated citizens in a global world.
At Christ the Saviour, we use our deeply Christian vision to bring a definite Christian distinctiveness across our two school sites. We are one of the largest Church of England primary schools in the country with pupils coming from over 40 different countries and speaking over 50 different languages
As a result of our carefully planned curriculum matched to our pupil demographic and enhanced by visits and visitors, our pupils characteristically develop into thoughtful, confident and articulate global citizens with a deep understanding of their moral purpose and a strong sense of global justice and youth leadership. We aim to live out our Christian vision as an inclusive school which seeks to recognise and value the unique gifts of every child and makes sure that all pupils, including those with SEN and disabilities, are supported to learn in a nurturing environment to reach their best potential.
Our school has a wealth of wonderful history. The school motto “Pro Deo Et Ecclesia” or “For God and the Church” remains as strong as ever and reminds us all of our service to God. This is central to our school vision and our shared values. The motivation of serving one another and the church, both in big ways and small, creates the nurturing environment in which children are able to thrive. I hope when you visit our school you will recognise our key values of inclusiveness, tolerance and love which drive our vision and bind our community together. The cross in the middle of the infant site playground, which marks the location of the high altar of St Saviour’s church (which was bombed during the war), signifies the unwavering Christ-centred education that our school has given to generations of families in Ealing for over 150 years.
The school benefits from a very close spiritual, liturgical and pastoral relationship with Christ the Saviour Church which is adjacent to our Broadway Site. The school centres itself as a worshiping community and innovative styles of worship from weekly Mass to hymn reflection, in church and school, offer rich experiences of invitational worship for all.
