A very warm welcome to Christian Fellowship School. CFS is the only independent Christian school in Merseyside offering a Christian Curriculum. To achieve this, we are a collaboration of parents, friends, churches and teachers, providing through‐school education for 4‐16 year olds.
Choosing the school that will best represent your values to your child is one of the most important choices you will make.
All schools impart some kind of assumptions and interpretation of life. At Christian Fellowship School you will find us refreshingly open about the faith basis from which we work. We represent a healthy mix of churches but all identify closely with the Evangelical Alliance Statement of Faith.
Choosing the school that will best represent your values to your child is one of the most important choices you will make. We have a policy of actively encouraging parental engagement in the life of the school, fostering an open environment as a good foundation for home/school relationships to develop; any difficulties that may arise will be addressed in this context. In partnership with parents and the Christian Community we seek to provide an education which through Christ-centred relationships will develop the pupils’ characters and gifts and also lead them into God’s purposes for themselves, the church and the world.
To see young people who know God, understand His redemptive purposes in Christ, and are equipped to serve Him.
A non-denominational, multi-ethnic Christian school; welcoming boys and girls of ages 4-16. Small family-school organised into Lower (ages 4-8), Middle (ages 8-13) and Upper (ages 13-16) schools; prioritising pastoral care. With active promotion of British Values, global citizenship and respect for all peoples.
Partnership with Parents - means that we believe that God has given the responsibility for their children’s education to parents. The role of the school is to support them in that task. We see the parents as vital to the life of the school and the roles of the parents and school as complementary. Our pupils come from diverse backgrounds and a sense of community in the midst of diversity is valued.
Provide an Education - means not just merely communicating facts, but communicating that all knowledge comes from God and honours Him. We believe that this is a challenge to explore, investigate and learn to be responsible for God’s creation in all aspects of life.
British values are embedded in the work of the school and they are defined as: Democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, mutual respect and tolerance of people with different faiths and beliefs.
We believe all children are unique and therefore there will be a rich diversity of personality, ethnicity, family life, age, abilities etc. Our school enjoys the mix of over 20 national or ethnic groups other than White European. Over 40% of the children represent this diversity.
We believe that each child is of inestimable value and all are of equal worth. We are committed to treat one another well and as a school are vigilant about even the subtlest forms of bullying or racism.
Some children who have particular social or learning difficulties may need "unequal" amounts of attention and support. This goes some way to remove barriers and creating a more equal access to the same range of experiences as others.
The diverse cultural backgrounds of families currently in the school enrich community life and show the variety of God's design and purposes for people. All people are of inestimable and equal worth to God.
We are committed to finding curriculum materials that represent a diverse United Kingdom and prevent stereotyping.
Our Technology curriculum gives attention to traditional textile, clay and wood-crafts in addition to electronics. This is partly to encourage skills useful to any young people who eventually work in developing countries.
We provide for a wide range of needs including gifted & talented, and a variety of special needs. These are actively promoted through an inclusive ethos and we maintain good working relationships with a variety of educational and health service agencies.
We are a happy school - the family atmosphere is often commented upon. We believe that this has a lot to do with the time and effort we put into developing and maintaining relationships. For us, regular times to pray together including daily worship is a vital part of life.
Learning how to learn is an important aspect of our school life. This approach respects and releases the God-given potential of young people. It enables them to experience a learning journey far richer than that contained solely in the classroom.
We also expect that real learning will translate into wise living and lessons for life. Above all, we want young people to continue to be grounded in matters of faith and to engage confidently with issues of the day, working hard to honour Christ, serve others and steward the Earth.
