Construction Supervisor

Job Summary

We are searching for a Construction Supervisor. This is a site-based position. The Construction Supervisor will be responsible for accomplishing construction project results by defining project purpose and scope, identifying and allocating required resources, establishing standards and protocols; scheduling and coordinating staff, and resolving problems. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by adhering to and enforcing company standards and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage, coordinate and schedule daily project activities, ensuring that workers adhere to the project plan and safety procedures.
• Create site plans and safe work procedures
• Report, investigate and document all safety incidents and injuries appropriately.
• Work with the project manager, engineers, and inspectors to execute project plan
• Meet construction budget by monitoring project expenditures, identifying variances, and implementing corrective actions.
• Complete quality inspections.
• Maintain daily reports; updating and tracking project completion progress and schedules.
• Provide supervision, training, and coaching to staff

Experience Required

• 5+ years of experience in field supervision/project management
• University or college diploma in a relevant construction/engineering program
• Experience with site operations, specifically froth treatment plants an asset
• Sound knowledge of construction inspection practices and testing method
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Computer skills: working knowledge of scheduling and project management software, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
