Cranleigh Abu Dhabi Marks Exceptional GCSE Performance with a Focus on Student Development and Growth

Cranleigh Abu Dhabi marked another year of outstanding GCSE results, reflecting the school’s commitment to academic excellence and holistic education. This year, 82% of grades were awarded within the 6 to 9 range, with a remarkable 23% of entries achieving the top Grade 9, underscoring the high students’ aspirations.

Showcasing subject-specific excellence, 100% of this year’s entries achieved grades between 6 and 9 in both French and Further Mathematics, as well as an impressive 95% in History. These strong subject results illustrate the breadth of academic rigour and school-wide dedication to fostering deep understanding across disciplines.

Beyond headline statistics, the cohort demonstrated positive value-added progress, achieving higher actual grades on average than those predicted by external benchmarks, indicating both student effort and the school’s effectiveness in unlocking potential. Several students achieved outstanding overall performances, with, Meihan Sun scoring a perfect 9.0 average across all 11 subjects and Petra Sawaya earning exceptional 8.9 average across 12 and 11 subjects respectively. Additionally, four more students- Iris Hallsworth, Beatrice Hanspaul, Vedha Kumar and Violette Verbeke- each attained an impressive 8.7 average across 11 subjects. These collective accomplishments exemplify remarkable consistency and excellence across a wide range of subjects.

Earlier this month, Year 13 cohort at Cranleigh Abu Dhabi celebrated record-breaking A Level and BTEC results. As Year 11 students transition into Sixth Form, students will be offered personalised guidance.
