With an expanding global presence, including locations in Perth, Malaysia and Singapore, Curtin University boasts a rich diversity of cultures in its students and staff, and a commitment to international engagement. We also have a long-standing focus on Indigenous education and culture, supported by our Centre for Aboriginal Studies.
Curtin is ranked in the top one per cent of universities worldwide in the prestigious Academic Ranking of World Universities 2017. We are WA’s most preferred university and are globally recognised for our strong connections with industry, high-impact research and wide range of innovative courses. We are also WA’s largest and most multicultural university, welcoming more than 52,000 students, around a third of whom come from a country other than Australia. Curtin graduates with a postgraduate degree earned the highest salaries among their graduate peers in Western Australia according to the 2018 Quality Indicators for Learning and Teaching (QILT) report.
Higher education is in the midst of a global revolution and Curtin is among those leading the challenge! Our ambition is to be a global university recognised for innovation in learning and teaching, offering the opportunity of a quality and prestigious Curtin education to learners anywhere in the world.
Curtin already has a significant presence in the international education arena, with an extensive network of national and international partnerships, more than 90 fully online courses and 60,000 enrolled students participating remotely or at one of seven campuses in four countries.
More than 250,000 learners have registered for Curtin’s MicroMasters and Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) following the 2015 launch of our partnership with edX, a consortium of elite universities established by Harvard and MIT. Our long term vision is Greater Curtin, a vibrant urban hub and knowledge city at Bentley with an intricate network of on-campus and online educators, researchers and students engaged with learning at Curtin from all over the world.
The Curtin Learning Experience has developed from recognition that active learning can improve critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and encourage deeper engagement in life-long learning. Strategies include on-campus and online tutorials, participation in face-to-face workshops and tutorials through high end video and web technologies, and real world problem solving.
Opportunities to study at a partner university, undertake Work Integrated Learning, gain leadership experience, and develop Indigenous cultural awareness are available within Australia and overseas, both as part of the curriculum and as co-curricular activities. Our unique Curtin Extra Certificate formally lists and recognises leadership and learning experiences that students undertake outside course requirements.
To ensure that Curtin graduates meet the evolving needs of industry and employers, we are gradually unbundling our courses to give students the flexibility to structure their qualifications based on their interests as well as future employment needs. Students will soon be able to mix and match subjects from different faculties and from affiliated partner universities. They can also participate in co-curricular activities that can develop and demonstrate a diverse range of skills. Students will be able to build a qualification that enhances and supports their personal, professional and career aspirations.
While the global economy expands and our student base extends far beyond Australia’s borders, the learning experience at Curtin will become increasingly personalised. Student-focused systems and learning analytics will give our staff useful insights into the achievements of students as well as the challenges they may be facing. We’ll be able to provide tailored guidance to enhance students’ personal and professional development.

Thank you once again for doing your part to keep Edarabia the most trusted education source.
Probably most good ratings are for the campus and the beautiful buildings etc. Which comes from the funds taken off students, like hecs etc.. I do not recommend this university bad teachings, quality ,respect and support..

great university with attractive buildings, the best lectures are supportive and interactive too.Quality of education is superb but expensive from the other universities. Either way you get what you pay for

only given my remark from Enginnering student aspect. Been here more than 2 years now and I have no problem with how hard they mark my work, that's expected since Curtin famous for this major. but it's very unfair when they letting the overseas student off easy, so they have higher turnover and make more profits.(every1 knows that overseas student pay 3 or 4 times more!!!) Problem also accumulating since I got here and fundings allecated to infrastructure upgrade instead of quality of lecture. They renovated "Student Central" at less 3 times since I am here! Spending MILLIONS on a driverless car when the "Electrical and Communication Lecture" took off half way the semester. Seriously, they have no lecture half of the 2nd semester of 2017!!! NO LECTURE!!!

It's all about the money, money, money. Should be Curtin University's theme song. I know it's a 'business' of sorts. But people should be aware that that's all that Curtin University cares about. Whether they get your hard earned money, or the Government's money, it's all the same to Curtin. Money and profit first and....nope, learning and study isn't even last. It's just a side piece. After you graduate it's so long, farewell, auf Wiedersehen, goodbye, and they couldn't give a flying you-know-what about you or whether you even land a job after all your years of study. Not just Curtin I'm sure. I just think prospective students deserve to know the harsh reality of universities today.

An excellent educational institution providing highly organised and professional courses for students in a broad range of fields and industries. Curtin University certainly stands out from the crowd, statewide and nationally.

Teaching staff are rude and not informative. I know deep down that some of their teaching contexts are wrong and the teachers are in denial..

Curtin University of Technology in Perth has been a transformative experience for my child; the educators are genuinely invested in student success, and I've witnessed remarkable academic growth and confidence blossom.
