We are a family of learners dedicated to growing excellence for all children and staff. In our school, this is a non-negotiable. Davies Lane is a much larger than average primary school serving a multi-ethnic inner-city community. The school is a four form entry school and has an intake from across the borough of Waltham Forest. The school has a 2 year old provision and is housed across two sites, the North and South Site which are a few yards away from each other. Davies Lane can be described as being in the heart of Leytonstone. It benefits from a vast school site that is adjacent to the green and leafy Wansted flats. The school was judged as Outstanding in its last Ofsted inspection and has achieved Healthy Schools, ECO and International Schools status as well as the Activemark award.

In September 2016, the school became part of the Arbor Academy Trust, working with Selwyn Primary School, in Highams Park. As a National Support and Teaching School, Davies Lane supports schools within the borough and nationally. As part of this work they are currently working with Acacia Nursery School and Snowberry Children’s Centre in Leytonstone, as well as leading Waltham Forest’s Primary Challenge. They are part of the highly successful Tollgate Teaching School Alliance and the CEO of the Trust is a National Leader of Education.

At Davies Lane Primary School we aim to provide an inclusive curriculum, which celebrates the social and cultural diversity of our school. We have high expectations for our children academically and take equal care to develop their all-round abilities and personal confidence through a rich and exciting curriculum and a wide range of sporting and creative activities.

Parents and carers are an integral part of our school community and we strive to work with them to make positive contributions to our local community.
