Deutsche Schule Durban

The Deutsche Schule Durban is a small, independent school that offers a holistic education for children from 18 months to Grade 7. Established in 1971, the DSD is affiliated to the Independent Schools Association of Southern Africa (ISASA). You don’t have to speak German to enrol in our awesome Kindergarten. At present there are approximately 150 pupils in our school, hailing from diverse backgrounds. Pupils come from homes where German is spoken by at least one parent, yet increasingly there are non German-speaking families choosing to give their child the benefit of German as an additional language.
