Dongduk Women's University has organized a system of education, administration and other services in such a way that best satisfy the needs of students. By the same token, DWU has also expanded its student welfare including scholarships education facilities, and career training skill‐building programs required for future employment while providing up‐to‐date information and materials for employment search.

In 1908, having realized the importance of educating women to contribute to the self-reliance of our country, the late Dr. Cho Dong-Shik, also known as Choon-Kang, founded Dongwon Girls' School (Eui-sook). This was a time of impending crisis for the nation because Japan was threatening the independence of Korea. The late Dr. Cho believed that the enlightenment of the people through education was a sine qua non for survival in such a situation.

Dongduk is proud to have contributed to the nation and its people by educating women who have been leaders of the movement to restore the independence of the nation. It also takes pride in having a capable, active body of graduates, many of whom are in positions of leadership in all walks of life In Korea and abroad.

Our educational goals have always endeavored to produce informed women with high moral standards because, in every era, effective education requires development of the whole person.When ethics and morality are deeply corrupted, insistence on human values and the strengthening of morality, which the late Dr. Cho emphasized and practiced, must necessarily be Dongduk's educational goals.The Dongduk family will endeavor to prepare the way for the new era in which a new nation and history of the Korean people will be brought to fruition.

With high academic standards for Dongduk students, Dongduk implements carefully catered practical curricula to meet specific needs of our students from various majors so as to help them meet the future demands, Dongduk Women's University, indeed, aims for maintaining its academic tradition that is centered on practical application. In addition, DWU consistently endeavors to develop customized curricula to meet each individual student's academic and professional need through personalized one‐on‐one instruction.

A school campus is an important space where lectures, studies, practices and student activities occur. Dongduk Women's University established Special Campuses that are key locations for relevant majors, providing functional convenience. In addition, the university is creating a beautiful campus that may potentially become a local landmark.

I like the entertainment industry system. The classrooms are good and the subway station is 2 stops away so it is easily accessible.
