Established in 2003, DPS International, Saket is located in the heart of south Delhi. For the past 20 years, DPS International has been the pioneer in providing quality, affordable, international education. This is primarily to returning residents of India and to students within India who want a hands on and dynamic education with a global outlook.

From our journey in 2003, DPS International is now the first Cambridge Pathway School in Delhi-NCR providing the Cambridge Early Years and the Cambridge Primary Programme in the primary campus at R.K. Puram. The Saket campus provides the Lower Secondary, Upper Secondary or IGCSE and the Advanced Level curricula to the learners.

It is our proud privilege to have had Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards every year from 2007 when it was instituted in India and we have effectively crossed more than a century. The school has produced learners who have proven their skills on the global platform and are placed in the University of Cambridge, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Imperial College, London School of Economics, Georgia Tech, Cornell University, University of California, Berkeley among others with scholarships. In India, too, we have learners studying in Lady Shri Ram College, St. Stephen’s College, National Law School, Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi College of Engineering, Ashoka University, to name a few.

DPS International, Saket opened its doors to pupils on 1st April 2003 to provide an international education to families that move worldwide and for those who live in India and aspire for an international education. A first of its kind school in New Delhi, DPS International, Saket embraces the core values of the Cambridge International curriculum while at the same time inculcating the traditional Indian values that form the basis of life in India. From 2003 to 2021, DPS International has made the long journey and is today, one of the foremost schools teaching the international curriculum. The past year and indeed much of this year has been one of turmoil due to the pandemic, and yet, DPS international has been able to overcome all the challenges posed by this unprecedented disaster and has faced the challenges with equanimity and has continued to deliver world class education thereby fostering both academic and life skills in the students.

While the pandemic has wreaked havoc, it has also paved the way for students to align themselves with the Cambridge learner attributes and come into their own and the results are deeply satisfying for us. Our students have shown confidence and have moved beyond the classroom to participate in international competitions, winning laurels and imbibing a knowledge that is not only gained within the classroom or school but is also learned from stretching their horizons beyond the known.

They have shown responsibility towards the community by going all out and helping disadvantaged members in the community and ensured that their education remains unhampered by the pandemic. They have taken it upon themselves to start clubs in order to cultivate amongst peers and juniors a sense of ownership and responsibility for one’s actions and activities. Every club that the students have initiated and successfully established within the school community shows that they have reflected on their learning but have found ways and means of understanding how these can be furthered in order to instil a love of learning in themselves, their peers and the wider school community.

These clubs have led pupils to innovate – whether it be in the field of physics or it be in the field of sustainability. That there is a world that has to be saved from its current ongoing devastation, also engages them to find alternatives that will help sustain life. Children not only learn, they also create and thereby hold out a hope for a future that is stimulating, exciting and dynamic. “A child is not a vase to be filled, but a fire to be lit.” – Francois Rabelais. This is what we attempt to do at DPS International, Saket – give every child the independence to mould himself in the shape that he dreams of.
