Founded in 1994, our school is a premier K-12, co-educational, English medium school recognized for its fully integrated approach to learning. Our parents have the option to choose from the Cambridge International Education curriculum from Primary to A Levels or the Maharashtra State Board curriculum.

The Bombay Cambridge Gurukul logo symbolizes the five basic elements – Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Ether. They are the basic substance of all Matter, the Energy that breathes meaning into the Form it assumes. Education is the realization of this Form (the self), it’s potential to interact with the Environment (space), and to learn and grow into higher realms of Thought.

Our mascot ELLY symbolises the values and virtues we desire our students to imbibe and emulate. Elly is symbolic of the wonderful combination of strength with gentleness and being majestic. Just as elephants possess a strong sense of community, we would like to see our students being sensitive and compassionate and being helpful to living beings around them. Through the characteristics of Elly, we envision our students creating a culture that is for the betterment of society with their intelligence and noble qualities!

The last academic year was an eventful one. When the lockdown began in March 2020, all systems had to go digital in an instant. The final exams were cancelled, report cards were sent digitally, and the entire May ’20 vacation was spent moving the educational program to an online platform. We know that the global pandemic caused great anxiety and stress for everyone.

In June when school was to reopen, we were amazed at the resilience in our students, and the commitment of the parents. Our teachers rose to the challenge with confidence and character, ensuring our students continued to learn uninterrupted. Our admissions, recruitments, meetings, trainings, seminars, classes, assessments, competitions and annual days – everything went online. We had to find a new rhythm to work with, and the participation and collaboration of all involved led us to step into this new era of Online Education successfully. With the way things are right now, it would seem to be a glimpse of the future to come.

Children’s education at all ages has its own role in the development of the brain and mind. We appreciate all the parents who have realised that there can be no compromise on the education of their child. Our educators are working hard to ensure that no stone is left unturned and that students can continue to learn and grow, optimizing their potential.

Within all this, our schools have been certified by the ISO 21001:2018 quality standards for our systems and capabilities to teach online effectively. In addition, our results show excellence in academic performance in the IGCSE Board exams this year. None of this would have been possible without the active support provided by you.
