Draftsman

Job Summary

• Prepares General Arrangement Drawings (GADs) and 3D Modeling.
• Assists the engineer with any given task.
• Visits sites to take measurements and do work requested by the engineer.
• Reviews and checks the work of other Draftsmen to ensure accuracy and correctness prior to their formal issue for construction.
• Undertakes pre-engineering site surveys in order to confirm the correctness of hand over documents and suitability of allocated site for project implementation.
• Prepares General Arrangement Drawings (GADs).
• Prepares AUTOMATED cut listings, shop and fabrication drawings.
• Assists in the production of “as built” drawings following receipt of marked up drawings from the project team.
• Prepares all types Mechanical, Electrical & Engineering Detailed Drawings.
• Undertakes pre-engineering site surveys in order to confirm the correctness of hand over documents and suitability of allocated site for project implementation.
• Produces material take-offs to ensure accurate account is taken of all component parts required to complete a project.
• Inter-discipline check of drawings/documents issued from other discipline.
• Preparation of isometrics from GADs.

Skills

• 5+ years of experience in drafting detailed and construction engineering drawings.
• Experienced and competent Computer Aided Design (CAD) operator.
• Good command of English language.
• Good background in MS Office applications.
• Rigorous checker.
• Knowledge of engineering materials.
