Job Summary
The Army Driver and Operator Standardization Program (Selection, Training, Testing, and Licensing), and local Command directives. Driver Training, Testing, and Licensing Facility. Contractor shall perform administrative functions to facilitate the training, testing, and licensing of military and civilian personnel for military driver licenses IAW AR 600-55.
Major Job Activities
- Process requests for initial and/or updated OF 346, and ASG-KU Operator Permits Motor Vehicle Operator’s Identification Card, from authorized personnel to include, but not limited to military, DA civilian and contractor-employed personnel.
- Process DA Form 348, Equipment Operator’s Qualification Record, for authorized personnel IAW AR 600-55.
- Annotate on DA Form 348 with the driver training and instruction received by personnel. Verify that training/instruction was provided by a qualified driver training instructor.
- Verify requests for appointment of contractor-employed driving instructors to ensure personnel are qualified IAW AR 600-55.
- Maintain file copies of appointment orders of personnel designated as driving instructors by unit commanders and/or supervisors.
- Maintain files of DA Form 348 for personnel licensed by the TMP.
Material & equipment directly used
Personal computer, printers, network equipment and other general office equipment. Busses and other vehicles/equipment to conduct Driving Test.
Working environment
- Work is generally conducted in the outdoor area with a potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions.
- Work consist of driving, training and testing employees on various type of equipments IAW the SOW and other guidelines set by the company.
Physical activities
Work may require heavy lifting up, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical or biological agents.
Minimum qualification
- Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Able to obtain an On-Post Driver’s License.
Experience
- 3 years’ experience in Drivers Training Operation.
- Experience in giving instructions to a large audience.
- Experience in Microsoft Office to include: Word/ Excel Programs.
Skills
- Must be team oriented; possess excellent organizational, time management and writing skills to include analyses.
- Must be computer and software literate, experienced in Microsoft applications.
- Must have good platform skills and experienced in classroom instruction.
- Ability to effectively conduct classes to large audience.
- Familiar with U.S. military branches of service.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent understanding of English written and verbal.
