For over 140 years, Dulwich Prep has stood as a leading preparatory school, inspiring generations of boys and, through our co-educational Nursery, young girls, to pursue their dreams. As we evolve, we remain committed to excellence in boys’ education with the launch of our senior section in September 2025. This development marks a significant chapter in our history, as we become Dulwich Prep & Senior, now serving boys from ages 2 to 16 and girls from ages 2 to 4. It is a privilege to introduce you to this exceptional school set in 29 acres, where values, character development and academic achievement are central to our mission.

At Dulwich Prep & Senior, we set high expectations. Our goal is for every child to develop into an independent thinker with a strong sense of justice, prepared to become a responsible global citizen. While we operate as a single school with a unified vision, we structure our community into five distinct sections, each catering to specific age groups. This allows us to deliver a tailored educational experience that meets the unique needs of every pupil and prepares them for the next stage of their journey, regardless of when they join us.
Dulwich Prep & Senior offers flexibility in educational pathways. We support transitions to senior schools at 11+ and 13+, while also providing the option for pupils to remain with us through Years 9 to 11, facilitating a smooth transition to sixth form post-GCSE. We provide the highest standards of education in stunning facilities, with strong links to the very best senior schools in the country.
We believe in working closely with parents to embed our Values ethos, as these principles are key to fostering the character development and emotional intelligence necessary for success in today’s fast-paced society. We are confident that when values are instilled, academic excellence naturally follows. This is reflected in our recent achievements, with over 350 scholarships awarded between 2020 and 2025, and 95% of our leavers securing a place at their first-choice senior school.

A prep school (private) for boys aged 3 to 13, although children can join any age if there is space (many at years 1, 3 & 7) after an assessment. It's one of the largest schools on the type in the country and as such as something for everyone espeically the sport and academic + loads of clubs in-between. They have good sized sports grounds v close by & recently opened state of the art science blocks (with a cooking suite at the bottom).
