Eastside Catholic School is a Catholic faith-based educational community where students learn to integrate their thinking and believing in ways that encourage intellectual excellence, nurture relationships and inspire a life of leadership and service to others.

Since 1980 Eastside Catholic School has been encouraging and nurturing students to achieve their God-given potential. Our rigorous, college-preparatory program is enhanced by an exceptional range of enrichment activities, sports, leadership training and faith-based community service grounded in compassion for others. We offer academically challenging programs for Middle School and High School, as well as an Options Program designed for individuals with diagnosed intellectual disabilities.

The middle school offers a small-community learning environment and a nurturing setting during a time of great personal transition. Students are encouraged to think for themselves, test their assumptions and develop sound learning skills, all setting the stage for high school success. The holistic curriculum includes not only rigorous academics, but also essential life and leadership skills. Our middle school students enjoy a smooth and successful transition to the high school.

In the high school, the academic focus is on preparation for college and beyond, with a challenging curriculum and ample opportunities to develop leadership skills that will serve students throughout their lives. All students are offered extensive college counseling services and 99 percent of EC High School program students matriculate to a four-year college program (2017).

The program includes a seven-class academic schedule with additional optional classes offered outside of the regular school day. Students may also choose to expand their learning through electives including AP, honors and UW in the High School (UWHS) courses, or in areas of personal interest, such as the arts, computer science, robotics, marketing, accounting, journalism and more.

Encouraging each student’s spiritual growth is an essential part of an Eastside Catholic education. Prayer services, celebration of the sacraments, leadership retreats and service projects are all part of our campus ministry. Catholic faith and traditions are central to the school experience, and are celebrated in a way that welcomes and affirms all faith traditions.

The Academic Center for Excellence (ACE) program offers help for students who need temporary support. Students may enroll in one semester of study skills and/or meet with an Academic Mentor to help them plan for and achieve academic success. ACE has a particular focus on helping students with Executive Functioning challenges.

Some examples of why a student might access the ACE program may include: a student who has sustained a concussion, a personal situation that impacts schooling or a difficult schedule, among others. Referrals to ACE usually come from counselors or teachers who identify students who are not in Academic Resources or Academic Mentoring, but need additional support.
