Job Summary
Parsons is now hiring an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to work on infrastructure projects.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Design of power network systems i.e., Low Voltage, 11KV, 13.8KV and 22KV Power Distribution Networking and distribution substation, Road/streetlight-highway, and landscape lighting for infrastructure work
- Preparation of utility calculation, Load Schedule & Max. Demand, layout drawing, Schematic diagram, Motor control systems.
- Ensure designs adhere to the design criteria and required standards
- Prepare conceptual planning, preparation of preliminary and detailed design including service corridor routing, project reports, tender documentation and issued for construction drawings for projects,
- Plan & Estimates number of 132KV primary substation, 22KV, 13.8KV & 11kV Distribution Substations, MMR, GSM, DCP, phasing plan and zoning distribution schedules including obtaining NOCs from Authorities.
- Knowledge in the computerized tools for engineering development ETAP(preferable):, Dialux, Tunnel V3.1, Relux, AGi32, BIM, Micro station, AutoCAD, and MS Excel/Word etc.
- Responsible for getting authority approvals such as power supply master plan, BNOC,LV design, Getting electricity and estimation approval from DEWA.
- Having excellent communication ability to convince professionals and local authority’s engineers.
- Knowledge of DEWA, Kahramaa, SEC, RTA, DM, CIBSE, IEC, NEC, NFPA, & BS standard & regulations.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring
- 8+ years related work experience in electrical design of infrastructure work
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (or closely related field) from an accredited institution.
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration is preferred.
- Strong background in consultancy design, estimation & costing.
- Have previous experience in infrastructure development.
