Welcome to ELM. At ELM it is our conviction that the different phases of childhood should be nurtured in a safe, fun, caring and challenging environment where a child’s natural abilities and talents are nurtured to reach their potential and beyond.
ELM was established in 2013 with a commitment to enhancing students’ well being and learning experiences. We believe all children have the right to be understood as individuals and to be given time and opportunity to develop as creative, competent learners in a secure and inspiring space, with lots of access to the outdoors. Our vision is to create a place that values caring , tolerant and respectful relationships and it is this vision which inspired the establishing of ELM, an English medium school with Arabic and Values taught as basic subjects.
In addition to being an IPC Member School offering the International Primary Curriculum Early Years and Milepost programmes, world-class curriculum focusing on the development of a high level of literacy, numeracy and critical thinking skills in an enquiry-based learning environment, ELM follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. At ELM we:
Our early years emotion and set-up are inspired by the Montessori approach in employing enquiry based, hands on teaching techniques.
This year (2018/2019), we start at EY1 and go through to Year 8. We will add a new school year each year as the school grows up to Year 13. With our small class groups , fully qualified teaching staff and active, enthusiastic parent support, ELM offers a distinguished holistic learning Community. At ELM we believe that a child’s educational journey is a shared responsibility between students, staff and most importantly parents; therefore the community is dedicated to developing and sustaining these relationships. We encourage and value the full support and involvement of parents in our community school. You’re all encouraged to join our family.
ELM’s mission is to develop leaders of the 21st century, that are global citizens with an international mindset, respect for diversity, belief in universal human values, while honoring our deeply rooted heritage, values and language. In the pursuit of this mission, the school believes in a balanced development approach for each child; spiritual, moral, intellectual, social, emotional and physical.
