The English School, which is the only not for profit school in Kuwait, was founded in 1953 and has served the English speaking community for almost 70 years. Closely following the Foundation Stage and National Curriculum for England, pupils are taught by well qualified, experienced and caring staff who recognise that all children are unique.

Being a small school, we have a wonderful opportunity to get to know your children and develop a personalised approach to their learning to offer the very best in academic rigour and pastoral care. Pupils are stretched and enriched by a curriculum that is broad, challenging and varied, and caters for the individual needs of each child. Pupils are also encouraged to develop their social and personal skills, with a strong emphasis upon good manners and respect for one another. Our school’s core values of Positivity, Respect, Integrity, Confidence and Empathy are at the heart of all we do and we aim for each child to develop these traits in abundance.

At TES we promote happiness and excellence and prepare children for life. At the end of their time with us, pupils move on to excellent schools in Kuwait, the UK and around the world. TES pupils are known for being happy, hard working, high achievers, polite, well-balanced and ambitious boys and girls who make us proud.

The English School provides the best possible British education, primarily for the children of UK expatriates in Kuwait, from the ages of 3 to 13+, in order to allow those children to make a seamless transition whether to UK State Maintained or Independent schools, schools in Kuwait or elsewhere in the world.
