Job Summary

Our client is an international consultancy they have an urgent requirement for an Estimation Manager to join their team on a large scale Infrastructure project in Riyadh. Candidates applying for this role must have extensive experience working in a senior estimation position on large scale infrastructure projects across the MENA region.Candidates applying for this role will also be from a contracting background.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop the Estimation Department strategic objectives and plans and ensure that they are communicated and implemented within the department.
  • Develop the Estimation Department annual budget and ensure all employees are working towards achievement of the Department’s goals and objectives within the assigned budget by setting the required targets and responsibilities upon employees.
  • Develop the Estimation Department’s guidelines, policies and procedures and ensure its implementation while ensuring compliance with strategic director.
  • Assist in managing with other concerned departments the pre-bid phase and handout the awarded project to the Construction Manager.
  • Ensure that all activities related to appraising the feasibility of project cover Technical/ Engineering and Manpower, Material, Service & Equipment plans.
  • Review and approve the project budget after incorporating the project profit margin with the project cost.
  • Coordinate with the management and the Estimators to decide on the following: Project estimated cost, Project profit margin and Project overall budget.
  • Oversee the preparation of proposals after the estimation budget.
  • Review and approve the quantities of materials to ensure that the quantities needed are correct and sufficient for the completion of the project.
  • Ensure that all drawings written in RFP’s s are correct. Review design scope criteria and quantities for completeness and coordinates reasonably with the project to develop additional estimating bases when information is incomplete.
  • Oversee the measurement of quantities from drawings, sketches, and specifications listed in the Tender / RFP documents for the preparation and pricing of the BOQ.
  • Provide advice, guidance, direction, and authorization to department personnel to carry out major plans and procedures, consistent with established policies.

Requirements

  • Minimum 20 years post graduate experience.
  • Minimum 10 years experience in a senior estimation role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying.
  • Experience working for a leading contractor on large scale infrastructure projects.
