We have travelled a very long way since we first opened our doors in 1996. Today we cater for over 1400 boys and girls, who are all encouraged to become global citizens of the world, self-confident in their beliefs and opinions, and yet flexible enough to bridge the gap between different cultures and make the most of all the opportunities that may come their way.

Our educational programme is based on three main pillars: academic excellence, education in values and proficiency in languages. Our academic excellence is based on our students achieving the level they require to be able to study the university degree course of their choice, both at home and abroad. We live in a global society and with this in mind, our students will achieve the highest level possible in the languages they will need, not only in English, but also in German, Chinese and French.

Our main objective is to foster an education based on values, with a universal and humanistic approach to learning and teaching, focused on a world without borders. We embrace the latest pedagogical techniques to ensure our students are not only competent, but also, and most importantly, to be good people.

We prepare our students with the skills and knowledge to engage in a rapidly changing world where technology is driving new ways of studying & working and relationships are no longer bound by borders. To be successful in this new connected world our students are graduating globally aware, skilled in communication and well educated. Ensuring our students develop global citizenship understanding and are connected with the world around them, we embed an international perspective to learning across the curriculum. An international approach to education recognises that for students to have the global skills they need, they must have access to quality languages education and exposure to intercultural experiences throughout their schooling, which occurs throughout our student´s school lives at European International School of Barcelona.
