Executive Manager E&M Site Design

Job Summary

• Compile and manage Site Design requirements for provision of E&M infrastructure development works for fixed and mobile network sites; translate them into real life projects so that Site Engineering can deliver required projects on time with required capacity and ensure that technology changes and special business needs are incorporated into Site Design’s network plans.
• Manage the site design team for the tender preparation and processes (E&M) such as tender preparation as per project scope and requirements, inclusion of latest and robust technical specifications and technical drawings, deciding SICET conditions, obtaining approval on tender documents, coordination with Mobily Tenders, replying to all queries raised by the bidders, completing all processes in accordance with Mobily policies and corporate objectives.
• Lead the pre-qualification process on bidder’s technical, financial, commercial and past performance capabilities; and direct the team for the evaluation process in accordance with corporate policies and fulfill all procedures and formalities for obtaining Management approval.
• Resolve all issues related to the cost variation, changes in the scope of work, contract Amendments/AsBuilts, time extension evaluation, any other project issues, related to E&M scope.
• Direct the team to explore new resources for products/equipment for Mobily projects for Civil components.
• Lead inspections of new factories, for evaluation of their manufacturing capabilities, quality control system etc. and submit recommendations for approval/disapproval to the head of department.
• Lead the negotiation with the new suppliers, factories, Vendors, technology research centres, for discovering new technologies, trends, trials etc.
• Manage the High Level and Low level Site Designs for fixed and mobile network sites. These technical appraisals are conducted for construction of the new sites; as well as existing sites for strength/capacity evaluation for new technology expansion.
• Conduct prototype typing testing and acceptance in order to verify that the equipment conforms to the technical specifications and ensure required degree of functionality, reliability and performance. Submit recommendations for approval/disapproval based on the prototype test reports.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities as designated by the line manager.

Skills

Master degree in Engineering is prefered.

Education

Bachelor Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.

Managerial Responsibilities

• Contribute to the achievement of the strategic objectives of the sector through performing own responsibilities and coordinating direct reports performance.
• Set the section’s goals and objectives and ensure the cascading of such to the direct reports’ individual goals and objectives.
• Apply individual items of sector’s policies, procedures and processes and ensure adherence and implementation.
• Coordinate with direct reports the performance of their delegated responsibilities.
• Ensure the ongoing development of the section’s employees, and guide the activities of direct reports.
• Oversee the overall performance of direct reports according to communicated KPI’s.
