Fajar University

Efforts to educate the life of the nation is a noble mandate and obligation for every component of state support to ensure the certainty of the life of a better and humane nation. The creation of civilization in the management of God's creation resources, realizing harmony and justice, interaction of national life, nation and state, and supporting the birth of the quality of local, national, and global order that can inspire to achieve a quality balance of life and environment better.

On the basis of this noble mandate, Ujungpandang Fajar Education Foundation built a college. College of Communication Studies (STIKOM) Fajar, Akademi Pariwisata Fajar (APF), and Akajar Akuntansi Akuntansi Akuntansi (AAF). In line with its development, 3 (three) colleges belonging to Fajar Ujungpandang Education Foundation was in 2008 then, merged into one and then changed its name to Fajar University. It is marked with the issuance of Minister of National Education Decree no. 132 / D / O / 2008, dated July 14, 2008 and Prof. Ir. DR. Halide, MA, was appointed as the first Rector.

Fajar University currently has 2 (two) Faculties, namely Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences (FEIS) and Faculty of Engineering. Both faculties are still relatively new considering their establishment in August 2008. Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences has 5 (five) study program level one, that is; Communication Studies Program, Management, Accounting, International Relations, and English Literature, and 3 (three) D3 Study Program, Accounting Study, Communication Science (PR), and Tourism Bina. While the Faculty of Engineering has 5 (five) Study Programs namely Architecture, Civil Engineering, Machine, Chemical and Electrical Engineering.

In supporting the learning process, Fajar University is equipped with Computer Laboratory, Language, Informatics, Machinery, Chemistry, Auto Cad, and Hospitality Laboratory, then there are Studio Picture, Television, Radio and Photography Study. In addition to the Laboratory and Studio located on Fajar University Campus, there are also laboratories that can be utilized in all Fajar Group's networks such as Hospitality and Media Industry. This is also the foundation of why the Communication Studies program is used as the excellent study program at Fajar University. At the age of 5, the University of Fajar continues to improve gradually both the curriculum, learning models and laboratories in each study program.
