Flint Hill’s 50-acre campus is comprised of three academic facilities in Oakton, Virginia. Each one was constructed with Flint Hill’s innovative instructional style in mind to include large, open spaces and to encourage interaction and participation among our students. All school spaces are wireless to support our 1:1 technology program and help students stay connected throughout the school day.

Lower School Campus: Flint Hill’s original campus is now home to the Lower School. The campus includes the historic Miller House, the Hazel Academic Center, the 300-seat Olson Theater, athletic fields, a gym, music and art studios and science and innovation labs.

Peterson Middle School: Opening in the fall of 2020, the Peterson Middle School is the home for Flint Hill’s seventh- and eighth-graders. Located adjacent to the Upper School Campus, the facility includes 16 classrooms, an Innovation Hub with dedicated space for computer science, makers and robotics projects; an art studio; quiet study rooms and a large commons with cafeteria seating. A large terrace serves both as a space for students to spend downtime and a community gathering space during athletics events.

Upper School Campus: Built from the ground up with our program in mind, the Upper School Campus is a 130,000-square-foot contemporary academic building with a soaring, open atrium and staircases. Like an interior campus quad, the atrium is a vibrant hub for Upper School life. The atrium is surrounded by dedicated academic wings, science labs, a robotics lab, a two-story learning commons, art studios, a fitness center, and multiple athletic fields.

Athletics and Arts Facilities: Flint Hill’s athletics facilities include a state-of-the-art turf field; eight tennis courts; fields for football, soccer, baseball, softball, lacrosse and field hockey; a 400-meter rubber composite track; a cross-country course; a fitness center and two full-sized gyms.

Fine Arts facilities include the 300-seat Olson Theater, a dance studio with sprung floor, music studios, visual arts studios with natural lighting, ceramics studio with wheels and kilns, darkroom facilities and digital arts studios.
