Welcome to Garden International School. We are proud of the holistically shaped programme we offer our students, bringing first-class teaching and learning, academic mentoring, pastoral care and wider learning opportunities and skill to all our students. Our students experience rich and authentic learning experiences to help cultivate innate talents and provide opportunities to pursue interests and passions, both inside and outside of the classroom, and strive for excellence; all in the spirit of respect, integrity, and well-being.

Garden International School is an inclusive and diverse school- our community has families from 65 different nationalities! With 70 years of experience in delivering first-class education to the local and international communities in KL, we offer outstanding learning opportunities for students from a wide range of academic backgrounds and with a wide range of abilities. At the same time, we consistently achieve some of the finest academic results in the region, with our value-added results reflecting outstanding progress across all age ranges.

Our successes are a real testament to the outstanding teaching faculty, our commitment to ongoing professional learning, and to our whole-school learning culture. Indeed, at GIS we are all learners. As well as supporting our students to achieve success in all areas of school life, we offer our parents weekly workshops covering a wide range of topics and other exciting learning opportunities throughout each academic year. In addition, our professional development programme for teachers, which runs weekly, is one of the most comprehensive in the region.

At GIS, we believe in the concept of academic care: the notion that children can’t flourish academically unless they are happy, supported and well cared for. This holistic approach, in which success is more than just about good grades, defines what we do. I am incredibly proud of the high level of pastoral care that we offer all of our students- care that is coupled with outstanding teaching and academic mentoring, and ensures every child has the opportunity to reach their potential.

In addition, our extensive CCA programme – one of the largest in the region – also ensures that every GIS student has plentiful opportunities to flourish outside of the classroom. Whether through sports, music, the creative and performing arts or any other hobby, our students have every opportunity to get involved and excel in their chosen fields.

Finally, we are a school that is committed to our local and global community. We believe we have a responsibility to help those less privileged through genuine, sustainable service opportunities. Through camps, service-based CCAs and student-led action projects in both Primary and Secondary, as well as regular school charity events, our GIS community strives to make a difference to those in need.

Our Mission
To be global leaders in building brave, brilliant and inquisitive young people who are committed to the positive growth of themselves and others.

Our Vision
To prepare our young people for a rapidly changing world by providing a holistic and personalised curriculum which instils in them a global perspective and a commitment to our core values.

Our Purpose
To educate the youth of the world to take their productive place as leaders in the global community.

Our Learner Skills represents the unique profile of a GIS learner across the length and breadth of the school. It embodies the key skills and competencies that transcend the individual areas of the curriculum, and allow learners to make connections across a wide array of disciplines which are vital and aspirational elements of 21st-century learning. By encouraging a deeper understanding of how to think differently, learn together, be resilient, ask questions and get involved, our learners become true global thinkers, adaptable life long learners and well rounded people in preparation for the wider world and the future that awaits them.

We leverage the use of technology to enhance the opportunities for our learners to deepen and redefine their learning experience. Technology is used to enable our learners to think differently by being creative and critical thinkers in which they are encouraged to take risks to solve problems through imaginative and innovative approaches. We also encourage our learners to learn together by providing a range of methods for online communication to improve connection, interactions, and collaboration as an integral part of our learning culture.

I have visited GIS for their school musicals and enjoyed the talented performance by the wonderful students!
The community is vibrant and engaging which makes everyone feel at ease. It's no wonder the kids are able to express themselves and pursue their passions as it's evident so I'm looking forward to more musicals.

I like how GIS has a supportive community where every student is valued and respected. With open communication between parents, teachers, and administrators, the school fosters collaboration and ensures holistic development through various sessions like the Learning Conversation Days, Parent-Teacher Conferences and Discovery Week.

My siblings and I were in GIS from Primary till graduation and are now working professionals in different parts of the world. We sometimes laugh and reminisce about our childhood and our time at GIS. All the CCAs, camps, Discovery week, Duke of Edinburgh awards, Eisteddfod & House songs, Mufti Day, and the awesome teachers! Special shout out to Dr Browning, Mr Gui, Ms Taylor, Mr Mah and Ms Mangin. Such wonderful memories, an amazing school, and the Best in our opinion!

Having attended the school's recent Open Day, I was really impressed by how well their students (including some from the Primary school) hosted the campus tour and was able to share their honest feedback about their schooling experience with parents who were on the tour!

We have been in Malaysia for many years and my children go to GIS. They love going to school and are always excited to tell me what happens everyday. I am so happy they are happy! Our family in the UK are amazed at how much they enjoy school. As a parent, I’m grateful to the teachers who draw out the best from my children, one loves creative arts and the other is into sciences and lab experiments! We have made friends from all over and I know my children will thrive no matter where they will be in the future. We are so pleased we chose GIS.

This helps their their students thrive both inside and outside the classroom. I honestly can't think of any school that does a better job. On top of that, they boast top notch facilities.
