Children smiling, playground laughter, children working together asking questions, exploring, problem solving – as an educator these are a few of my favourite things. When I walk around Golden Grove Lutheran Primary School (GGLPS), I observe positive and powerful interactions, I see the rich and deep learning which is occurring, I witness the care and concern that is evident between all members of the community children and adults alike.
During the last thirty years for which I have been a principal, I have been honoured to be a part of many children’s learning journey. In partnership and in collaboration with parents, it is a privilege and exciting to watch children grow and develop, as they respond to an engaging and stimulating learning program. It is essential that we as a school believe in the capacity of every child who walks through our doors, that we offer a comprehensive and contemporary program within a safe environment that will support them in their learning and growth, so that they become citizens who are equipped to make a difference in the world.
Who we are and what we aim to achieve is driven by the living out of our school values of ‘Believe, Collaborate, Achieve’. Through this website I trust that you will gain a sense of our school community and the difference that is GGLPS.
Deciding the right school for your child /ren and family is a complex decision and one which needs much thought and exploration. To assist in this decision making process, I would welcome the opportunity to discuss our beliefs, our educational program and our community further with you and I invite you to contact the school to organise a visit to observe GGLPS for yourself.
