Job Summary
Wood is currently looking for a Graduate Technical Safety Engineer to join our team in Dubai, UAE This is a Home Office position based in Dubai, Normal working time will be 45 hours per week.
- Reporting to the Lead Discipline Engineer, the candidate will assume sole responsibility for assigned engineering tasks.
- To carry out process discipline work within a project team, supporting the project team for field development of oil & gas production facilities.
- To prepare process safery deliverables for a project in the oil and gas industry, and ensure that they conform to all applicable engineering codes and standards as well as the Client’s policies and procedures.
- To ensure that all work is completed without compromise to quality and is delivered according to the project schedule.
- To promote safe behaviour at all times.
- To carry out tasks as directed by the Lead / Senior Discipline Engineers.
- To co-ordinate with other disciplines during all stages of design development, construction, pre-commissioning, and start-up.
- To assist in the coordination of all activities related to process engineering design.
Skills / Qualifications
- MSc / BSc in Chemical Engineering.
- Familiar with the fundamentals of process safety engineering design and analysis.
- Clear communicator with good interpersonal skills.
- Highly motivated and self-reliant.
- Problem solver.
- Open analytic thinker and innovator.
- Good communicator with willingness to share knowledge andnsupport others.
- Strong commitment to safety.
- Fluent in English and Arabic.
